FC Barcelona faced Sevilla away from home with absences like Raphina, Yamal the match went 1-0 with a very dubious penalty that was drawn in favor of Sevilla and before the break Rashford managed to reduce the score to 2-1 in the 78th minute a penalty was taken in favor of Barcelona and Lewandowski failed, with the forward defense looking for a tie in a counterattack Sevilla scored the 3rd goal and the 4th in the same way, the culé team loses the opportunity to become leaders again.

Lovely game from Sevilla side, Barca has some serious problems with the defense play...We already seen this in the last games.

Although the German coach threw his best players into the fray, barring the injured, the champions melted in the Seville heat. Barcelona was unrecognizable. The Catalans lacked the excitement of their Champions League battle. The hosts outclassed the Blaugrana in both teamwork and ball movement. The visitors were outmatched in the fight, were late in tackles and rebounds, resulting in fouls and yellow cards.

The defense of Barcelona has been a significant problem for some time now. Given how weak the defense was, the defeat to Sevilla was certainly well deserved. Giving up four goals, including two from counterattacks, demonstrates beyond a shadow of a doubt that something needs to change very quickly. This is about the entire defensive configuration, not simply individual errors, which makes it annoying to watch.

Without a doubt, Lewandowski's missed penalty was a major factor, but it shouldnt be the only cause of the loss. The defense was, in fact, too exposed. Sevilla was given control of the game by Barca and they were allowed far too many opportunities. No club of Barcelonas level can afford to give up four goals in any match.

Barcelonas management does need to wake up, and you are right about that. This backline is giving up goals, and there doesnt appear to be any way to stop it. Its evident that the team lacks leadership at the rear and if they dont solve this soon, they will lose the title fight, among other things. however, there may be more humiliating consequences, such as this one. They will be left behind if the response is not instantaneous. 🙁

From a possible draw to a painful loss. That penalty missed by Lewandowski changed everything.
