Those were basically where there was 4 options to bet on and I bet on two of them just so that it would be more likely I would win.

Looks like I won my first bet. tbh I don't have any idea what this is, but it was a win so that's good lol.

With the start of the English Premier League I opened an account in Bovada.

First weekend just gone.

Bet $2 on tie Liverpool v Stoke at 4.7-1
Bet $2 on Aston Villa to win at Arsenal at 7.5-1
Bet $10 on Man United to win at Swansea at 20/21
Bet $1 on parlay all 3 results (about 78-1)

Results:

Man United won - $9.52 profit
Aston Villa won - $15 profit

Then the sad news!
Liverpool-Stoke to tie to win a further $87.40....Liverpool leading 1-0 with 2 minutes left when Stoke get a penalty shot to tie....but miss!

Still, a profit of $9.52 made from the first weekend.

Oh no!!! That sucks so bad... an extra 87.40 would have been pretty sexy indeed. Can't be too bummed about the $9 profit though.

As you can see from my thread I would almost kill for a $9 profit :) It does help that I've been doin pretty well in Zone poker. Just profited $22 tonight after a small 30 min session on Zone, so hopefully I can have another nice session tonight before bed.

OK, going to try go big this weekend in the EPL.

$2 parlay.
Arsenal 11/10 to win at Fulham. Arsenal lost their first game and will be anxious to get back on track.
Aston Villa 3/1 to beat Liverpool. Villa played well in their first 2 games. Their first home game, Liverpool's first away.
Stoke 4/5 to beat Crystal Palace. Stoke's first home game, looked OK at Liverpool in week 1.
Man Utd 7/5 to beat Chelsea. Man Utd's first home game for their new coach. Impressive in week 1.

$2 wins $70.58.

Bet 2.

West Brom 11/2 at Everton.
Norwich 2/1 at Hull.
Sunderland 17/4 at Southampton.
1 x$1 parlay and 3 x $1 round robin.
If any 2 win it pays either $14, $18 or $33. If all 3 win it pays $166.

I need some massive points in the 4th quarter tonight for me to even be close to winning mine. Stupid Patriots wait until I bet on them to only put up 3 points on the Lions and have 3 turnovers. Horrible!!!!

Even better, I had an 'undocumented' 'rage bet' I posted after losing $10 in some Zone poker on last night's action.

I had also bet a 2 leg parlay on the Lions (-2) and the the OVER 46 of last night's Lions VS Pats game. I was pissed off cause initially I thought I bet on the Pats (+2) instead, but I 'wrongfully' bet on the lions LOL. Good thing is I layed down $10 to win $25.22.

All in all, I hit the jackpot for my bets last night, risking a total of $15.00 and WINNING $38.44.

Might have to look a little on tonight's action. Some weaker teams play tonight, thinking maybe the under in one of them.

Yea, wasn't the smartest move I've done, but from what this thread has told me, the way my brain work properly with sports betting clearly does not work. :D

They've got the Seattle/GB game set at OVER/UNDER 43 and Chicago (-3)/Oakland game set at OVER/UNDER 38. My initial thought is to focus on the Chi/Oak game, and maybe to Chi (-3) and the UNDER on that game. If I place a bet I'll be sure to post it.

Just don't bust your self. Never gone broke playing sports, but once I lost my entire roll playing blackjack and I will never do that again. Make sure you leave enough for poker :)

Oh absolutely. My roll is clear for these $2 and $3 parlays.

I've even got it budgeted to do a $5 parlay for each week of the NFL season. Even if I were to lose all my bets up until the season starts, I'd still be able to do all my NFL bets.

The more I look at tonight's action, specifically the CHI/OAK game, the more I'm thinking they'll go OVER 38. It seems they both haven't had difficulty scoring in garbage time the previous 2 weeks. If no other objections/opinions I'm thinking a 2 leg $2 parlay for picking CHI and the OVER.

That monkey was beating me up pretty good. I'm trying to tackle small profits each day on some Zone poker. Just something like 5-6 profit a day to keep this going. So far so good.

I know yesterday's winnings was quite a bit for me and this thread. I feel like doing the numbers to see where that puts me overall... Might have my next post with an update of overall wins/loses - or that might be too depressing :p
