Last night Washington managed to beat the Philadelphia Phillies again, to made it 3 wins in a row. Things have been going right lately.We open an equally important series of 2 games against the Atlanta Braves. Can the NL East be tightening up?

Rain shortened series from 4 to 3 games but Washington won all 3. Great to pick up 3 on the Phillies. Atlanta next for 3 games. We need at least 2 of 3.

Washington lost the rubber game with Atlanta yesterday 4-2. We are off today, traveling to Miami for a three game stand with the Marlins. A bright spot in Atlanta was the pitching of Voth for Washington. Looked pretty goog and I look forward to his next start.

Washington won all 3 games against the Marlins and finally got back to .500 ball!
40 wins and 40 loses. Wouldn't it be great to get over .500 ball? We get our chance now with 3 games against the Tigers in Detroit. Sure would be great to win all 3.

Nationals took 2 of three in Detroit with a great game yesterday from Mad Max
Scherzer. Washington was 5 of 6 on the short road trip. Off day today, then the Marlins are in town for 3 games. Washington is getting into position for a wild-card spot.

Great series against Miami, we won all 3 games and actually gained ground on Atlanta and Philly over the last 3 days. Washington is 8-2 for the last 10 games.
Kansas City Royals for the next 3 days.

Fantastic, Washington won 2 of 3 from Kansas City. Nationals are 5 games over .500
for the first time this year and sitting in a wild card spot. Now we have a break until Friday for the All Star game.

We are in Phladelphia tonight , opening a 3 game series with the Phillies. Right now its the
top of the 3rd. inning and Washington is up 2-0. Steven Strasburg is pitching for the Nats.

Almost. The Nats won the first 2 of three with Philly. The third game was into the ninth inning with the score tied 3-3, but was not to be. Philadelphia got a walk-off homer and won 4-3. Off last night, and now a 2 game set with the Orioles in Baltimore.

We got 1of the 2 games with Baltimore. Won on Tuesday but after an hour and a half rain delay, the Nats lost 9-2 last night. It was another total failure by the relief pitchers. Erick Fedde pitched pretty good, but when the relief pitchers took over, we were done. Probably the most important series of the season starts tonight in Atlanta. 4 games with the Braves, who the Nats trail in the NL East. This series is huge for Washington.

Even up in Atlanta. Washington won 2 games and Atlanta won 2. Nothing gained and nothing lost during the series. We are still behind them. Washington is coming home now for a 4 game series against the Colorado Rockies.3 wins would be nice.

Almost. Washington beat Colorado 3 out of 4 games to keep their wining streak going but lost the 4th game last night 8-7. Dave Martinez brought in the over used Rodney in the 9th inning and it was too much. His third pitching appearance in 2 days. Washington now gets the red hot Dodgers for 3 games.

Been on vacation. Nationals have picked up 3 relief pitchers for the playoff run. Possible to catch Atlanta but a wild card would be more likely. 3 game series now with the
Arizona Diamondbacks. 1 and 1 so far.

Dang, only won one of three from the diamond backs in Phoenix. It would have been
nice to take 2 games. On to San Francisco now for a series with the Giants. Won't
get to watch, way past my bed time.

Last night the Nationals lost a tough one. After beating the Giants 3 games, we lost to the Mets last night by a score of 7-6. Washington was ahead 6-3 when the Mets came up in the 9th inning but Sean Doolittle gave up 4 runs. That was an awful outing for him.
Another 2 games today and tomorrow. with the Mets.

Wonderful. Washington won the final game against the Mets today in New York.
Juan Soto came up limping after rounding base and hopefully the injury is not too serious. The Nats need Soto in the lineup. Juan's replacement, Victor Robles, had a 2 run homer late for the Nats to get the score to 7-4, where it stayed because Sean Doolittle came up strong in the 9th inning. Home now for 3 games against the Reds.

Washington took 3 from the Reds, winning yesterday by a score of 17-7.
That's a bunch of runs. It's a shame that some cannot be saved for the 2-1 game that we lose. During the series Strosburg won his 15th game. Max Scherzer is penciled in to pitch Sunday during a 3 game series with The Brewers Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Great game today, Washington beat the Brewers by something like 16-8 and hit an amazing 8 home runs. I got to go, my first game this year. It was only about 98 degrees and a heat index of about 102. Washington won 2 of 3 from the Brewers.
Now its on to Pittsburgh for 3 games.

Four game series in Pittsburgh and Washington was able to win three. Great series for them. Max Scherzer came back from the IL last night and was able to pitch 4 innings.As far as I know he did not have any back pain. Terrible MLB scheduling though, Washington after being in PB last night, has a 3 game set in Chicago starting today at 2:30!
