Very interesting and diverse replies..... some I expected and other were a surprise. Football and soccer are obviously huge...... but here in Canada obviously ice hockey (NHL) is one of the biggest sports along with football (NFL) and baseball (MLB). I saw one post said baseball is very boring and I used to think that as well. Over the last 2-3 years I have started following the Toronto Blue Jays and once you get to know a few players and some of their personalities is makes the game so much more interesting. I could never follow more than 1, maybe 2 teams in baseball though because they just play so many games each year.

Anyway, great question. Thanks for posting!!

I come from Poland. The most popular sport in this country is football. 2nd place cover volleyball i think and lately popular sport is tennis because of succes story of Iga Swiatek.

I always thought the NBA and MLB were more popular in the US. Yes, NFL is cool, exciting, but no more than that. Even from the sales of computer sports simulators, you can see that NBA 2k23 has 23,000 players playing right now, and NFL Madden 2023 has no more than 1,000 players. I'm certainly not from the US, but I'm very surprised that the NFL is #1. :eek:o_O
