I'm from Romania and there are quite a few popular sports here- the top2 are easy picks but for the 3rd place, there are like very close 5 lol:

1) Football (Soccer) - is by far the most popular sport in my country
2) Handball - very popular and pretty much every city has a team and you'd be surprised how much the players are making(both men/ women)

Like I've said, the 3rd place is a bit tricky to pick, if I had to pick just 1- I'd say Basketball... but we have Rugby, Gymnastics, Tennis, Boxing and a few other sports that are very popular...

In the Bistrița region, the three most popular sports are football (soccer), basketball, and handball. Football is widely considered the most popular sport globally and is also a favorite in this region. Handball and basketball are also very popular and have dedicated teams and leagues in Bistrița
