I have a discussion with a friend who makes sports bets and says that it is more reliable to make money with bets. I believe that with a single bet he can win the same or more than playing a tournament. And it is also faster than a tournament. I think there are points in favor of betting and another in favor of poker.

Sports betting is tough because the sharps who put together the betting lines are very accurate they have a lot of extra info on games that normal people do not have. So when they put together a bet it is very tight on how the bet will go. So when you are making a bet you are at a disadvantage right of the mark. If you put in the work and study all the fine details of each bet which really is what good punters who make a living betting do then you can make money. If you are just going on instinct and a little bit of info it is going to be tough to really make money on a regular basis.

If I think it is more reliable to make sports bets, with just one won bet I can generate more money than playing poker tournaments

Apparently it all depends on your knowledge and skills. Both poker and betting can be profitable, but in fact the basis for earning is your knowledge.

Hello to all!
I believe that bets should be taken as seriously as poker, analysis and knowledge are needed, and it is stupid to bet just on a good team, I bet once and the team moved me - lost my money ha ha ha, I don’t bet anymore.

I think I will stick to poker. Sports betting is a lot of hard work that doesn’t seem like all that much fun to me. Poker on the other hand is a good time for me. I like to learn more about poker than betting on any sport anyhow. Poker has kept me interested in it for almost 20 years now and it doesn’t get old to me.

I think that betting on sports is the same as playing roulette. Sooner or later you will still be a loser. Bookmakers, like casinos, cannot be fooled.

You forgot luck ...

poker is better. for betting you have to be a pro in sports or know some insides.

Poker is a game of styles, and sports betting is trying to catch your luck.

I do not think that it is very easy to win on bets, because there you also need to analyze a lot of different information, and if you place bets without any knowledge, then you will quickly lose money! I don't think poker has much to do with sports betting! But this is my personal opinion, maybe I'm wrong! Good luck and good!

no, in the poker game you depend on yourself, you for your luck not for others; you make the decisions when to throw or pay🙂

seems to me with sportsbetting there is always inside info, all one has to do is watch Vegas and see all the big money coming in at last minutes, when that happens they are rarely wrong

I don't think it's more reliable. You can get lucky and win more, and faster. But not more reliable.
In poker you rely more on yourself, in betting you rely more on luck because you are not there to play, all you have is hope, poker is more than hope.

Like poker,,,,and life in general,it all depends on your decisions,,, Bet on red. 😎

I don't think luck can be the basis for earning. If you count on luck, one day you will simply be left homeless. Option: "I was unlucky today, so I'll eat tomorrow." 😀

In any occupation, it does not matter whether it is poker or betting, it all depends on knowledge. If you have little knowledge and experience in any area, you will lose in any case. You won't be able to play for luck and catch a quick win, this only happens in fairy tales.

it's a good way to force yourself to spend an hour and a half of your time watching something. if the film is bad, you turn it off at 10 minutes, but if you made a bet on a sporting event, this is guaranteed for an hour and a half of leaving reality.

Betting is only winning money but you have nothing in your hand. And poker is more than just winning money. You have the option to decide which hands you are playing and which not. You can have a lot of fun.
But if you are only want to reach money is betting more rentable and less time consuming

I think it's also very important which of the two activities you like more. You'd be more willing to learn and develop this way.

You need knowledge to win at sports betting. It is largely related to the interest in a given sport discipline. For example, if someone likes to watch football, he usually only bets on this discipline, hoping that a lot of knowledge will allow him to win.

Picking lowest possible over line in any sport dont need knowledge at all though ...

Requires. Betting only on the lowest odds will put you at a disadvantage in the long run.

In bookmakers you have no influence on the gameplay, in poker you decide when and what risks you take at each moment of the game. By betting on any discipline, you have no influence on what will happen and what choice the player will make, whether he will win or lose, and thus whether you will win or lose. In poker, you are the deciding player.
