The US is by far the best basketball country in the world, but why does it recruit bad players for every World Cup?

I don't think Serbia is laughing right now. They would win the final against the US, but it would be difficult for them with Germany.

they still had the more skilled players on the court, just no team spririt and no strategy imo..

The NBA is the best league in the world, no doubt...
but look how many Europeans play there on MVP level. Antetokoumpo, Donkic, Jovic, Schroeder and so many more...
US players would give much more to win the NBA than the Worldchampionships..
