I was still playing at the same table as my previous post after I ruined my tournament life. The tournament started with 100 BB. It was at level 8, 7 minutes for each level, and the late registration and rebuy would end at level 8 (where the stacking stack would be 20 BB). The starting stack was 20 BB at that point.

The situation at the start of the hand was follows:
SB: 7.6 BB, €0.50 bounty
BB: 251.32 BB, €2.24 bounty
UTG: 16.76 BB, €0.50 bounty
Me (MP): 35.92 BB, €1.50 bounty, hole cards 6d 5s 3d 3s
CO: 90.95 BB, €1.36 bounty
BTN: 198.92 BB, €1.68 bounty

The above stack sizes was nearly double of the tournament average.

Pre-flop:
SB posted 0.5 BB
BB posted 1 BB
UTG called
I called
CO called
BTN called
SB called
BB checked

Flop (12 BB): As 8h 7d
SB bet 6 BB
BB folded
UTG folded
I called
CO called
BTN folded

Turn (24 BB): Td
SB shoved 0.6 BB
I called
CO called

River (25.8 BB): 2d
I checked
CO bet 12.9 BB

My deduction here was that he either had a flush (which would beat me) or bluffing with complete air (wanting to drive out my flush). Should I bluff catch him, considering that there was a €0.50 bounty for collection if I won?

Bluffing with air makes 0 sense as there is no side pot- so if the villain has no clue about poker maybe you can call "an air bluff" but why would a bluff give you 3 to 1 on the river expecting you to fold a flush when you can win a bounty by calling and not be out of the MTT? Again yes some V do not know how to correctly size but in this spot I would want to be able to beat some of their value hands not just bluffs.

To study build the range of value hands that bet this river expecting to get called -start with what flushes- then what straights- then what sets bet expecting to be good if you call?

Then compare that data set to the bluff data set. Is there enough bluffs to value for you to call.
The flush data set is not just a flush but how many combos AKdd AJdd AQdd etc KQdd etc how low a DD hand would they bet for value 9X 8X what?

Then ask yourself what hands do you really have that they are trying to bluff? Do you really have a straight played like this? etc etc

A better question would be, "why did you see a flop with that hand ?".

What is the problem of playing 6533ds? It has a pocket pair, some connectedness, and is also double suited. I am playing it to hit a set, straight or a flush.
