The bounty weren't that important—the bigger ones had already been announced!

I made a mistake here preflop; I should have folded—I wasn't even covering anyone yet.

F: Anything could be in the big blind's range since we just limped; it's hard to narrow it down. Would a 3-bet have been better?

T: Another tiny bet; I’m calling again.

R: Goes all-in; at this point, we only have one bluff left to call.

I can imagine him bluffing with a flush draw.

He could have had a straight on the flop, but if he had Q10, he would have bet bigger on the turn.

He could also have had a lot of two-pairs, but even with those, he would have raised bigger in the previous two rounds.

These hands beat me; folding seems like the right move.

Preflop
I dont like overlimping with an offsuit rag ace. Either raise to isolate the limper or just fold and wait for a better spot.

Flop
Obviously you can not fold top pair to a small bet not even in a 4-way pot. As for BBs range, he probably does not have AA, JJ or AJ-AK, since he did not raise preflop, but he could have A5, J5 or 55.

Turn
Yet another small bet, which you can not fold top pair to, not even 3-ways and with kicker issues.

River
Now he overbet jam essentially saying, he backed into diamonds? AX of diamonds is available, and there is an old saying "never go broke in a limped pot". So I agree with letting it go here and live to fight another day.

I agree that this is fold or open, however I'm very tempted to open A7o from the BT to 1 limper. It would depend on my feel for the table and Villain tendencies but the action here is just so weak. More often than not an open here in position heads-up or 3-way takes this down with a simple c-bet when checked to on the flop, and hey I don't mind a straight up steal neither.

As played, however, the post-flop is fine. Not much else you can do but call, call, fold.

To improve in a spot like this we want to take the time to reflect on why we flatted here preflop.
Really think about why you did it. That thought process might be harming your game.

If we take a moment to think about A7o as a flat - our first thought should be this is not a good multiway hand so no flat. Then we should think if we hit our hand can we play it confidently post flop? No. Then we think- this is a win a small pot- lose a large pot hand most frequently-do we want to take that risk at this stage of the MTT?

Working on your mindset and the analysis of the hand strength is a very good study point.

The issue here is, that the limper has a massive stack, and we do not. So without knowing anything about this player, we likely have less fold equity, than we normally would, both preflop and postflop. If CO had opened to 2,5BB, would we have called behind with A7 offsuit? Probably not, so maybe we can just pretend, he raised, and let it go. I am all for attacking limpers, but I dont think, this is the best situation or the best hand to do it with.

Oh yes, you're right. That stack would stop me 100%.

Preflop

I don't usually do this too often either,

but here I did it because the others were covering for me. In bonus tournaments, even if I raise up to 4BB, they give the bet very widely because they cover me, so I limp sometimes, but throwing is the best option.

All right, thanks for your analysis. Again, I put myself in a difficult position with a preflop error.

Thank you for your reply.

As I mentioned in my previous post, in a normal MTT tournament I would either raise or throw, but in bounty tournaments the stakes are so crazy that I don't think they would throw a raise if they were covered.

You may be right, but if I had raised a preflop, I would have shown a stronger hand range, which would have allowed me to take the pot with a flop continuous raise.
