I see this from time to time and always wonder if someone just got bored playing or if they are intentionally chip dumping because they have to go somewhere.

Might be. But the game had just started, and this type of SnG (Fifty/50) rarely last more than 20-30 minutes. Also if you have to go, then why not move all-in preflop and try to build a big stack before sitting out rather than calling down, when you cant even beat some of the opponents bluffs? In this format the chip leader can actually often fold to a cash, since the game will stop, when 3 players are left.

I agree. Doesn’t make sense in this kind of format. Unskilled? Drunk? Just logged onto his big brother’s account? Promised a dying wish of a friend that the next time he had J8 he would call no matter what? :D
