With an UTG open and a 3-bet in front of you, 88 is a fold, when the action get to you the first time. In general we dont have much if any range at all for cold calling 3-bets out of position. So if its not good enough to put in the cold 4-bet, which 88 is clearly not, then its just a fold.
In tournaments setmining with lower or midelling pais is a risky play.

I can only agree, with a 4-bet preflop in a multiway pot you have not to call with 88 anymore. You are too far behind with that. It's as clear as broth.Goggelheimer said:
