1208 staring players, gridded down to 14. The blinds were eating away my chips bb 300k I Get Ad10h4h3c on the button everyones shoving all-in and I join all-in and below is hand unfolds (no pun intended) I wish I could have unfolded! Busted 14th, you win some, you lose some!

I would love some feedback on the hand, should I waited before I jumped? Possible final table if I waited but I was card dead for a while impatient if I am honest! Anyway, what do you think? Thanks...

I dont play PLO, so I have no idea about preflop push/fold ranges for this game. But you started this hand with a little over 3BB, the player in BB is forced all-in with a random hand, and someone have called all-in with a stack of less than 1BB. The limper have you covered, and SB have you covered, but its much to late to find a spot with fold equity, and your hand seems reasonable enough with some low potential as well as a flushdraw and some straight potential. So I cant imagine, that this is some sort of massive blunder.

Also there is nothing "crazy" about this hand. Everyone are super short with the biggest stack being 6BB, so a 5-way all-in preflop is not even that special for the situation, especially given that one player did not even have a choise, since he was forced all-in by the blinds, and another guy was going to be forced all-in by the next blind, so he might as well go with this hand instead, if he liked it. If you want to get better at PLO, I would focus on hands played with a deeper stack earlier in the game rather than some random hand with 3BB, just because it happened to be your last hand in the tournament.

Spot on analysis!


At 3BB or less, fold equity is non-existent, and almost any four cards with basic connectivity, flush draws, or low possibilities become an automatic shove. When the largest stack at the table is only 6BB, multi-way all-ins are just standard ultra-short stack tournament math playing out.


Your point about study focus is the most important takeaway here. Spending time analyzing 3BB push/fold spots won't move the needle for a long-term win rate. Real PLO edge comes from mastering preflop selection and postflop equity navigation when stacks are 15–20BB+ deep.
