Display stack in BB or chips?

Generally had been doing BBs for online tournaments. However as I thought about it and looked back, most of my successes were on sites where there was no view in BB option. Also noticed that perhaps better to show as just chips because it helps maybe be more actively monitoring stacks which is a skill needed in live poker where there is no overlay or way to instantly see how many big blinds you or others have.

I display the stacks in BB for cash games and tournaments. it's easier for me to concentrate on the play without counting the chips.

I am too old school. I have to have the chip stack in value numbers. I do click on the stack from time to time to check the BB value.

I think it depends on the player, someone likes it so someone else here just people choose what they like more. Both options do not affect the game so much

I rather see the chip count... since the count doesn't change with the big blind you can see your accomplishment.

For me Online it’s got to be in BBs for Cash and Hand History... SnGs and MTTs are good for just the count and as I have Observer/HH in BBs I get that information with ease if I need to know. Satellites I feel are important to focus’s on BBs throughout though as they tend to follow between Turbo and Hyper Turbo escalation.... Live play the total chips and the current average is all I care for and insuring my stack looks as enticing and as intimidating as can be lol.

I'm more comfortable in the big blinds, but I need to keep track of what is the effective stack, in the big blind you can make wrong decisions

That's exactly what I think, when I show off in blinds I make better decisions about how to act, but if I'm at the end of the tournament I show in chips to motivate myself exactly to continue, which will work out, that's how it will work out.

I prefer to display the stack in chips. Although I translate all my opponent's bets in my mind into blinds

I let the default configuration to display in BBs, but when I am playing just 1 or 2 tables, I switch to chips, to train calculations and to keep my brain sharp for when I need to play a live tournament.

However, if I would play cash games, I think I would only use big blinds, specially when moving up in limits, to detach yourself from the money view. When you put your chips in the middle. If you were playing NL25 and move up to NL50, it must feel like 100 BB (for example), not $50.

I use chips, I can count so don't need the BB option... really running out of places to play online so doesn't matter much either way

when the chips are on the blinds, it's easier for you to push and fold, it's also easier to call when you know how many blinds the push is flying

I have played with both options on but prefer the actually chip count. I wont just have a BB count when playing live so not using that option keeps me sharper in the game to be honest.

I generally view it in chips in the earlier stages, and BB's in the latter stages, or if my stack is shorter
