Do mystery bounty tournaments reward skill or gambling more ?

Both are a necessity in poker but I believe you need more luck in mystery mtts than in others .
Mainly due to the ridiculous number of participants. ( At least at GG )
Mystery at PS I say skill is more important since you have not even 10% of the field from GG at Stars since PS is dying a slow death 😅

It's still a game of skills you just have to go for KO as often as possible and that how you can be profitable in my opinion

All forms of poker reward skill in the long term. MB tournies have certain skill requirements that TAG players do not often implement. Good LAGS do much better in PKO and MB. There is a lot of short term variance because players have to play for stacks to get the bounty opportunities-when you remove fold equity from a hand you need to look at that hands strengths (EQR) in all-in pots.anbu210 said:

Obviously there is an extra luck element, since the size of the bounties are determined by the system. So in that sense MB events are a bit like Spin n Gos, except that it is actually possible to play them so much, that you are somewhat likely to get your share of the big bounties. But in all tournaments your results are determined by a combination of luck and skill, so its not like, a luck element is something completely unique for MB tournaments.

The gambling aspect is mostly psychological imo. People see the giant bounty prize and start punting stacks with weak hands hoping to spike a big envelope 😂
Skilled players can exploit this a lot because the field becomes way looser and more emotional after the bounty stage begins. If you stay disciplined while others chase jackpots, you can certainly have a big edge.
