Sometimes I feel like mixing up timing can confuse opponents, like acting quicker than usual or taking a bit longer in certain spots.

I’m not sure how much it actually affects others, but it feels like it can change how people perceive your decisions.

Do you ever adjust your timing on purpose, or just play at a consistent pace?

Well, I think it's normal, it's obvious that if you haven't played any hands in a tournament and suddenly you get a great hand, you're going to play aggressively, maybe making 2x big blind raises to change the rhythm of the table.

Yes I do that, don't forget that time spending for an action is the only tell in online poker right?

Sometimes I've had that impression too.
When I play quickly with a strong hand, I have the impression that some players also react faster and may make mistakes. But I'm not sure how much of this is real and how much is just perception.
Most of the time, I try to maintain a natural rhythm and focus more on the decision itself than on the right time.

No, I've never done that. I hold back a bit more when I'm close to being in the money, but not to confuse my opponent.

Well, my pace is quite slow/tight at the beginning of tournaments, after all the blinds don’t mean much to adopt a loose stance.

In the middle phase is when I get even tighter, but in the final phase I play at full strength, with a lot of aggressiveness.

As a rule, this is my stance, however it varies depending on how the players behave at my table.

I try to keep a consistent timing most of the time, so I don’t give away any patterns. Occasionally I might mix it up a bit, but I don’t rely on timing too much as a strategy. I think good players pay more attention to betting patterns and ranges rather than timing, so it’s a small factor compared to overall decision-making.

I think if you are playing against players that are not paying attention then mixing it up against them really won’t do much, they aren’t paying attention to what you do, they are just thinking about their own cards and nothing else. Against thinking players that do pay attention, then yeah, throwing a change up once in a while is necessary.

I don't know of it is to throw off other people, but it might, as now and then I let my intuition take over and make a play that I normally wouldn't make.

Hello:)
I think it's the skill of timing call & moves, it could be profitable, or we could become an easy fish for a submarine opponent, especially when we bluff.
In general, whether the player is a winner, or a bluffing player.
Yes, the timing pattern of the call or raise movement will change, depending on the strength of the hand and the stages of the game, or the skills of the player and reading the opponents.
