I would definitely prefer tournaments with cash prizes. Money, real money, I can always use when I want and how I want. And the ticket usually has a specific purpose and an expiration date, I don't really like such restrictions.

definitely cash rewards. I was very sad about the changes at GGpoker and pokerstars.

It's simple, it depends on the bankroll you have.
If you have a low bankroll, it is preferable to play cash prize tournaments.
If you have a stable bankroll, you can choose a ticket tournament where you can get better prizes by cashing in the ticket.

Cash. Tickets, especially those $11 power path ones, are easy to get a hold off. I currently have 4 just sitting there & no bothered to use them yet.

of course, money will be better than tickets because you can use the money however you want and the ticket has only one function always choose money maybe you don't need tickets at all but just money to spend them in life is the best opportunity for many players

I play both freerolls but i do prefer the cash incentive. Cash has more overall excitement.
It feels great when you get through the stages for a cash games. I find this doesn't happen often enough though, as its much harder to do so. As i said feels great when achieved.

If they are the same amount, I will take the cash.

I do think that there are step sattys though, where the players do not understand the icm and higher ROI's are achievable. In these I rather be "forced" to play the higher EV game.

depends on the amount, if up to +-50, then a ticket is better, if more, then money

Well obviously tournaments with cash prizes are my priority. But not all ticketed tournaments are bad. If there are tournaments with good cash prizes (like the Sunday Million or WCOOP), then I would choose a tournament where the prize pool is tournament tickets. And if we're talking about PowerPath on PokerStars (where you have to win several satellites to reach a tournament with a cash guarantee), then of course I would choose a tournament with cash prizes.

I like cash tournaments more because they can also be used for other games such as slots and sports betting, whereas you can only use tickets for specific tournaments, and you risk being eliminated and winning nothing

I prefered with the ticket tournament to go in big tournamet and win Big prizes if you have luck to win 😊

Why didn't You bluff? I remember my first Fenomeno turnament - i was eliminated on first deal.

I'll prefer the one who allow me to earn ticket becaus it's forced me to play the next round. If I eran the money, I'm not sur if I'm gonna play the same level or if I'm just gonna play a lowest tournament or worts

I Play only freerolls, because of my bankrol is "0". I Play both: with ticket proces (like Fenomeno, Bounty Builder, DailyKickOff... etc) ant real money priced (cardschat freerols, and few others at PokerStars) .
I choose playing turnament, where the real money are paid.

Answering Your Question... I play for money. Fun is ok but i AM very poore and i live in misery - do I need money.
I remember very funny situation. IT was about two months ago... when I start learning poker game. IT was satelite. I don't remember excacly, but i was about 10 tickets to win. During the late registration, number of tickets to win rise, and one or two last places are paid some small amount of money. I was in first ten players - i think was at 2nd or 3rd place.
I was doing everything to loose. I wrote on chat that i don't want ticket because i need money.
I think that situation shows that all with me is just like I wrote. Money!

I would like to advice You, to give more details and options to choose: what value of ticket and what price for winning this ticket's turnament? What money to win? Because now IT sounds like Question: " Do You want to get 10 USD or better will be to get possibility to win 10 USD?"
Maybe You got similar situation like me: win and take ticket to big turnament or AIM to last two paid places - excacly those two places: between ticket and nothing. Of course I got money - IT was near 30$
I AM sure that, if I would play better in future - I will alwayse choose ticket to the bigger turnament.

I would say cash because i would have the choice to play the tournament i want when i win momey

I think everyone prefers cash rewards, right? You always run the risk of crashing the freeroll and coming in first and then using the ticket and just gaining gaming experience. hahaha.

I don't agree that tickets are useless. You are able to sell IT. When I win 109 USD ticket i was able to unregister and got 109usd turnament money. I can buy-in to all turnamments like using normal money. I can also do rebuys and add-on using that money. (I am taking about PokerStars room) Ofcourse after winning first step freerol You can't do IT, but after second, thirtd... YOU can, because other players buy-in for money also.

Of corse Cash rewards. Often a person will play a tourney for tickets, but the end result is so that they may win cash.
