Well obviously tournaments with cash prizes are my priority. But not all ticketed tournaments are bad. If there are tournaments with good cash prizes (like the Sunday Million or WCOOP), then I would choose a tournament where the prize pool is tournament tickets. And if we're talking about PowerPath on PokerStars (where you have to win several satellites to reach a tournament with a cash guarantee), then of course I would choose a tournament with cash prizes. :)
Hi John_entony, I think I will stop Play freerols soon and focus on cash turnamments. I win many freerols last days - Isometimes 3 tickets daily- Titan, Fenomeno... I win with 2.500 players ang got nothing. But when I buy-in 1,1usd, 2,2usd and 3,3 USD turnamments I can't win. I AM not able to get even some good priceed place. I start thinking that i am too weak, because freerolss Play all. Some od them just obły register and all game are inactive. I think most of them just Play because IT is for free.
Sometimes I also think is IT scam? But I don't want to believe that. Also sometimes I feel that players are in one team. I must practise more.

Hi ZenonBR
I Play only freerolls, because of my bankrol is "0". I Play both: with ticket proces (like Fenomeno, Bounty Builder, DailyKickOff... etc) ant real money priced (cardschat freerols, and few others at PokerStars) .
I choose playing turnament, where the real money are paid.
I Play freerolls with You my Friend, because I remember You. Just for sure nie I checked Your Nick at PokerStars. Hihi - IT is You. Nice to see You here.
Answering Your Question... I play for money. Fun is ok but i AM very poore and i live in misery - do I need money.
I remember very funny situation. IT was about two months ago... when I start learning Poker game. IT was satelite. I don't remember excacly, but i was about 10 tickets to win. During the late registration, number of tickets to win rise, and one or two last places are paid some small amount of money. I was in first ten players - i think was at 2nd or 3rd place.
I was doing everything to loose. I wrote on chat that i don't want ticket because i need money.
I think that situation shows that all with me is just like I wrote. Money!

I would like to advice You, to give more details and options to choose: what value of ticket and what price for winning this ticket's turnament? What money to win? Because now IT sounds like Question: " Do You want to get 10 USD or better will be to get possibility to win 10 USD?"
Maybe You got similar situation like me: win and take ticket to big turnament or AIM to last two paid places - excacly those two places: between ticket and nothing. Of course I got money - IT was near 30$
I AM sure that, if I would play better in future - I will alwayse choose ticket to the bigger turnament.
Greetings Grzegorz00pl I remember you, thanks for the answer, and I hope we meet again at the poker tables and achieve good results.

I don't agree that tickets are useless. You are able to sell IT. When I win 109 USD ticket i was able to unregister and got 109usd turnament money. I can buy-in to all turnamments like using normal money. I can also do rebuys and add-on using that money. (I am taking about PokerStars room) Ofcourse after winning first step freerol You can't do IT, but after second, thirtd... YOU can, because other players buy-in for money also.
Grzegorz00pl Is it possible to exchange tickets won in freerolls for their cash value?
For example, if I win a $11 power path ticket in a tournament, can I exchange it for $11?
How do I do this?
Thank you.

"It don't matter, just dont bite it" as Eazy E says.
I generally lean towards cash prizes, but now that I'm thinking about it a bit more in depth. I believe that the "ticket tourneys" force me to focus a bit more. or maybe it just feels like I'm focusing more when, in actuality it's just a shift in the way I'm perceiving my end goal.
lol OK I came to tell no lies soooooo CASH PRIZE

I'll probably choose a tournament where real money is used as prizes. Money, unlike a ticket, is a more universal means of payment, for them you can play in any tournament, in a cash game or simply withdraw to the card.

Cash prizes are more valuable to me. Money is always better than tickets, because you can use the money as buy-ins in several tournaments or in those tournaments on which you have focused your attention, and of course, in addition to this, the advantage is that the money can be withdrawn :)

If you're feeling confident, sure. But online poker is different from offline poker. You're from Poland, so you have a great opportunity to play offline in poker clubs. I'm sure there's more fair play there than on PokerStars. Try to participate in tournaments in offline poker if you decide to invest in poker. This is my advice and you may not follow it. But I wouldn't advise you to invest on PokerStars so that you will not regret it later. ;)

It all depends on what interests me most at that moment, for example: if I want to play an important tournament and that ticket allows me to reach that goal, I play for the tickets, but if I want the best benefit of the money I go for them directly, I also think how In the pros and cons, if I win the ticket there is a possibility that I will achieve a good result in that tournament and obtain better benefits than if I played for money

I prefer freerolls with cash prizes, because the money is here and immediately, and not somewhere there and potentially sometime.

There are two tournaments to take place, and both will offer the same prize amount, but one will award tickets and the other will award money.
Which tournament would you sign up for?
And for what reason?

You can only choose one of the tournaments.
If the ticket was for a tournament that I'd be able to attend I'd probably go for the ticket. It is like getting two for the price of one, and the ticketed one probably has a much higher prize pool. If not the cash would be okay

I would prefer cash payment because i can use the money any way and any time i want! Besides if you win a ticket it might be for an time that you are not available to play poker or for a day that you are not in mood to play!!

I sign up to both types. The cash prize in freerolls in nice but not usually very large. The ticket prizes can be quite nice but its just more effort as now you many have to play another 1-3 games before it turns into cash but the prizes are usually very nice.

The biggest advantage of playing in freerolls is that you play for free, but for fun. However, if someone is seriously planning to play poker for money, then it seems to me that it is better to immediately start playing at micro-limits. This is a different level and a different responsibility.I play freerolls quite often - when there is free space on the screen, then why not cut it if nothing interferes. Tickets and money, everything is fine.
