I played a freeroll yesterday and struggled in the late stages. Do you have any advice on how to handle the late game better?

In general I find players in the early stages of a tournament to be looser and the later game to be tighter.

You might see players open shove their entire stack of 60 BB when the tournament starts out. Rarely will you see that behavior approaching the bubble or final table.

If you describe the exact situation with yours and your opponent(s)' hole cards, stack size, position and stage of the tournament then you can get some useful comments.

Good luck !

As Poker_Mike said. In the later stages a lot comes down to quality of hands, and there's not much you can do about that. The only suggestion I can make is to try to play made hands with draws to narrow the odds a bit. Easier said than done.
