I've been playing mostly low-stakes MTTs online and I've been thinking about late registration more. In some of the bigger fields, registering late means starting with a much shorter stack, but you also skip a lot of the early levels where there isn't much money at stake.

I've seen GTO Wizard recommend late registration in some tournament situations, but I'm still not sure how much the smaller starting stack affects your ability to build a stack later.

For those who regularly late reg, what stack size do you consider the point where it's no longer worth entering?

Its style of playing. There are certain number of players who just fire bullets to build stacks at later stage so that they can make final table. If your bankroll allows you to cope with wild variance then its worthy for you

You start with fewer big blinds; if your playstyle and bankroll suit that, then sure—though personally, I like playing from the very beginning of the tournament.

Your bankroll has nothing to do with your stack.
