I'm not fussed on any one kind but if I was forced to make a pick I think regular speed tourneys would be my go to.

I usually play normal speed tournaments, because turbo and hyperturbo situations are way too fast so a lot depends on luck. I've read many tournament poker books (Harrington's) so I find myself a well-educated poker player in this area. (Compared to the average micro - low stakes MTT players)

So in my opinion, the slower the better because I can use my knowledge without risking too much.

I prefer turbo
Because I tend to get bored at the table if I can’t play many hands

I prefer a regular tournament. In regular tournaments, I manage to play more successfully. There is time for thinking and making an informed decision. In rapid tournaments, you need to go all in too often.)

Lucky

I think that if you can’t have time for play e analysis yours opponents, it isn’t poker. So it’s a game of joker, for you need to play with “any cards” because the form of game it’s very hight.

I like turbos tournaments better, that the blinds increase every 5 minutes, the tournament gets more interesting, when it goes 1 hour after starting, they are too good and fun.

Turbo for me - plays in a reasonable time frame and you can still play through some variance. Hypers are just too quick for that and you have to hit early to survive.

Prefer the regular format, hate turbo's you barely play a hand get blinded out, gets to a stage when you get any pocket pair or big Ace and have to shove with it, turbo's for me are based on pure luck

The slowest pace the better as this allows more edge for skill, so it reduces variance. I don't like too much variance as there is already plenty of it in normal poker.

What is reasonable timeframe? 2h or less? 3? Or 4+ hours instead ...

All the levels seem to me according to the type of tournament you are in. The more variety of times you learn to play, the better you perform in tournaments in which you have all the time to have it as you want. Hyper tournaments help you make decisions quickly and learn to know how agile you are to make decisions under pressure. If you are not good then you will learn more. Regards.

I liked playing the $ 1 hyperturbo tournaments for 36 players, but they shut them down.

Regular for sure. Yeah, long, but allows you to actually play the game instead of being forced by blinds to open your game up too far or be pushed all in by same. Turbo's can be fun if you only have a few hours, but i'll only play the hyper turbo's for play money and if i'm feeling like being an all in weenie.... ;-)

I prefer normal tournaments. In these, the blinds rise more slowly, so I can better use my poker skill. There is a high dispersion in the hyper turbo.

The normal has more chances of surviving in the short and long term, of course with a solid strategy and patience, discipline and knowing how to wait as long as to fold, in all these types of tournaments our friend is the variance, obvious, in the turvo or hyper These are tournaments that you have to have too much luck and raffle it with almost any couple of cards that they give us, strategy for this type of tournaments. It is very basic, the best cards that we can play them all or nothing, and try to accumulate chips as As fast as possible, the blinds go up in the blink of an eye ,, strong, solid and extremely wide the ranges ,, luck in the tournament that you like, all are excellent ,, may THE positive vaianza be with us friends ...
