How impressive is it for novice or average players to face great champions at a final table? What do you think if you will reach a final table and get some of these names there ?:

Phil Hellmuth
Erik Seidel
Phil Ivey
Michael Mizrachi
Chris Ferguson
Juanda
Daniel Negreanu
Adrián Mateos

honestly for me it would be a privilege to reach a final table with some of them and I cannot deny that I will be more aware of their plays than in my cards, in the first hands observing and seeing them as a mortal to enter my own game

I read them..

Revisiting this thread from several years ago that I started for CC—one of the first ones I posted on the forum: Which of you has run into these "legends" in person or online? Did you feel comfortable, excited, or overwhelmed? Tell us about your experiences from those moments.

For me, it wouldn't be interesting at all, since everyone on that list was a student of mine.:ROFLMAO:

Maybe he is not quite up there with those players mentioned, but occationally Jeff Boski appear on one of my tables on ACR Poker. It has never been for more than an orbit or two, and we never both made it to the same final table. But still kind of cool during an otherwise often fairly monotone grind. He is a site sponsored pro and has two tournaments carrying his name "the Boski daily dubble".

I've may ran into them on Pokerstars way back in the day as I've played the Sunday Million a number of times and played some of the $55 MTT's. No idea as back then I didn't know any of their screen names anyways. I always found it exciting and well a bit uncomfortable as well to know I was likely at the table with them or other known pros back then.

I've played alot of the Pokerstars sponsored players back then as many of them would sometimes come down and sit with us at micro-low stakes and play just for shits and giggles.....it may have been in their contracts as well. Humberto Brenes did it a lot more then others thou. Cool nice nice like the majority of Pokerstars pros were. The only real jackass of them all was Joe Hackem and he was that way to everyone.....guy would lose $5 on an all-in at micro stakes and he loses his freaking mind :ROFLMAO: like it was the last $5he had to his name. Like dude you're a wsop Main Event Champion wtf you doing losing your dam mind over $5?

Good times :D.

Cheers!!!
