Plo tournaments limit and no limit

Yesterday i didnt notice what kind of tournament registered, show to be limit. I dont have expirance in does, but luckly i won it. But i want to know how to play this tournaments.
PLO NL after flop you can just jam, but in PLO Limit we dont have that posibilty. Do we limp always when we out of position, because everyone do that and i just follow them

I prefer No Limit PLO tournaments because I enjoy having more freedom to decide how many chips to bet. It makes the game more exciting and gives players more ways to use strategy. That said, I think Pot Limit is better for beginners because it helps control the size of the pot.

PLO hi/lo and PLO limit are quite different strategically. In limit PLO, you can't rely on the same pressure and all in decisions you would make in PLO NL, so position and pot control become much more important.

I wouldn't automatically limp every hand out of position just because other players are doing it. You still want to consider hand strength, connectivity, nut potential and how well your hand plays multiway. Following the table blindly can get expensive pretty quickly.

Every poker variant should have limit , pot limit and no limit versions . My favorite in PLO8 !

Limping is a good strategy however we do not want to do it all the time. The more hands we allow to see the flop the less equity we will have post flop. We should always raise our strongest hands - Which would be nut hands like AAQJ double suit and other double suit connected like AKKQ etc
We should however fold AAxx not connected hands OOP etc

At least you knew the basic game and its rules, just not the specific strategy for a limit format. Years ago I accidentally entered a tournament, which turned out to be a 7-game event, where the game changed with whatever interval. I did not even know the rules of some of those 7 games, so it was quite a funny ride, until I busted

Congrats on the win! Limit PLO is a completely different game from Pot-Limit PLO, so don't worry if it felt strange.

The biggest adjustment is that you can't just shove when you have a big draw or made hand. Value betting and hand selection become much more important because the betting is capped. Limping out of position just because everyone else does usually isn't the best strategy. Try to play stronger starting hands, value hands that can make the nuts, and avoid getting involved with weak, dominated holdings.

I'd also be interested to hear from players who regularly grind Limit PLO, as it's a much less common format than PLO. 😅🧐
