How you would plan a private Tournament with around 50 people? How much buy in and how you Split the prizes?

With 50 players I would let the final table (8- or 9-handed) pay.

What is the venue? Is it a one off tournament or something you plan on doing regularly?

Typically tournaments will pay out to the top 10-15% of the field, so for 50 entrants, you'd be looking at the top 5-8 players. It does also depend on what you're trying to achieve - if you want to entice players to play for a big prize up top, you can play fewer players and make the payouts more top heavy. If you want to make it a more friendly game that keeps players coming back every month, a flatter payout structure paying more players would be better.

I think 50 players is a great size for a fun private tournament. I'd probably go with a $20-$30 buy-in to keep it affordable while creating a decent prize pool. Paying the top 7 or 8 finishers seems fair, with around 30-35% for first place, 20% for second, and a gradual payout for the remaining spots. If it's a friendly event, I'd also consider adding a small bounty or a trophy to make it even more memorable.
