Surviving the chaos of $1 MTTs: How to counter loose-aggressive play?

I’ve been playing $1 Multi-Table Tournaments (MTTs) lately, and I’m finding it quite challenging to navigate the field, especially during the early and middle stages.
In almost every tournament, I encounter players who are constantly open-shoving, 3-betting light, or playing extremely aggressively with wide ranges. It feels like high-variance poker, and traditional tight-aggressive play sometimes leaves me blinded out or forced into a coin flip for my tournament life.
I would love to get your advice on a few things:

1. Do you widen your calling range against these specific players, or do you wait for premium hands to trap them?
2. How do you manage the psychological side (avoiding tilt) when you get knocked out by a random hand that went all-in preflop?
3. What is your overall baseline strategy to consistently cash in these $1 fields?

If players are getting it in wide, then you should widen your calling range but with consideration for players left to act behind you. A hand like AJ is a snap call, if you are closing the action, and someone is jamming with random nonsense.

Thats part of the game and something, you just need to learn to deal with.

Its not possible to "consistently cash" in any kind of tournament, so perhaps part of the mental game issue is, that you have unrealistic expectations. The goal in tournaments is to have a high ROI (Return of Investment) over 1.000`s of games, not to cash in each and every one.

I play microlimits and I always make money there, my strategy is to play aggressively with strong hands, placing bets with large sizes, because fish don't fold, I avoid making a lot of bluffs at the start of the tournament.

Just play solid poker, don't worry about what happens as long as you keep playing solid poker, and keep doing that for thousands of games.
