The short version is, that the early stage of a tournament is pretty much the same as a cash game. So just play hand for hand and dont confuse yourself with thinking about "the big picture". Cash game training is usefull, because you often play with a deeper stack. So rather than ask this question, ask questions like "how do I play multiway pots" or "how do I play monotone boards".

The early stages I’m generally playing tight and using this time to figure out my opponent’s playing style. With the blinds low and maybe no Antee yet there really isn’t a whole lot to go after. We are so deep stacked it’s important to keep that stack right now.
