I think that these types of tournaments should be played very calmly, most players will try to play many hands with the intention of eliminating others

I think you are best served just playing ABC poker, but if there is a short stack and you have a chance to get in cheaply it might be worth it.

I think each hand should depend on the situation, and using one strategy for the whole game is not going to work.

I think you have to play aggressively to get a lot of chips, so when you reach the mystery bounty stage, you'll have a better chance of winning a bounty.

I think you shouldn't take such tournaments too seriously, because luck is actually the deciding factor in them. So, all you can do is play disciplined and stick to your bankroll management strategy, and then you'll have a chance to score well one day :)

I think that playing the same way as a normal tournament, with good strategies, accumulating chips to get to the bounty round.

The strategy of waiting for a good card is the best. But sometimes you can't wait for that card.

This is true statement if you play to tight the ante and blind will run you out. When I find no cards coming my way and blinds and ante begin taking a fifth or sixth of my stack . I will wait for suited consecutive mid to face cards and go all in. I will open my range on last button fold if I don't flop. And if a high pair or consecutive suited don't come before my next big blind then on my blind I go all in on any cards. But that's crazy and even crazier when it works . Alot of times the larger stacks will call you just for value I guess making the haul larger giving you a second wind.

In Mystery bounty MTT we average out the bounties so if there is $500 in bounties total and 50 players then each time we try for a bounty it is equal to $10 --That is the bounty amount we would make our math based hand range decisions on. Unlike a regular BMTT where there are larger and smaller bounties on each player---it actually makes it easier to estimate how much wider we play our ranges than CHEV vs any given Villain.

However we have to keep our eyes on total bounties left as it changes the math--EX: top bounty is out say $100 and there are 49 players left now the average bounty is $8 $400/49

Build the biggest possible stack before the bounties. You have to be courageous. If you nit into the final stage you will lose your ability to take down bounties as your stack will be too low.

Up to the knockout level, you have to catch passively and good situations. Then you have to play aggressively and break down the division.

It also depends on the tournament, if its a knockout with rebuys, you will always encounter the maniac who will shove any piece of the pot and try and build a stack early on - this strategy can be expensive but equally if its a limited rebuy - for example until end of registration or maximum of 2 or 5 - it can be profitable if you pick your spots well.
I play quite a bit of bounty/pko poker and the mindset is quite different - be prepared to have raises called more often and also to be jammed on more often, there is value in having a ko budget so to speak and keeping to the BR management.

This type of tournament requires more patience and discipline than other MTTs... to take advantage of the bounts, only when we enter ITM will we get the rewards, so play hard until ICM and then be aggressive whenever you enter a hand.

What I do is go all-in preflop with: KK, AK, AQ, QQ, JJ, TT.
I also try not to play bad hands, it is not worth losing many hands with cards that I should not play.

My strategy is always to survive the late registration phase and then try to play carefully sometimes even risk a bit

Play at the beginning like a normal regular tournament, look for EV+ moves and when you reach the mystery bounty stage, be more aggressive in search of the biggest bounty if it is still available.

Creo que lo mejor es jugar solo al póquer ABC, pero si tienes una pila pequeña y tienes la oportunidad de entrar a bajo precio, puede que valga la pena.
Exactly what I was going to say, once in the Bounty you can play looser and put more pressure

Play tight in early stage and focus on building your stack. Avoid risky plays since bounties aren’t active yet. Target weak players and exploit their mistakes. When bounties start, call wider in all-ins, especially against short stacks. Don’t chase bounties if it risks your tournament life. Watch for players who overvalue bounties and take advantage of their mistakes.
