Pretty sure you must have been drunk tbh.

In other disappointing news, I busted two shots at the 777. Went out in pretty horrific style. In first three orbits, I lost with KK to quad 7's on J72 7 7, then bluffed with T9 on AKJ J 7 and lost to the SAME guy who rivered the boat with 77... Lucky 7's indeed.

Epitome of run bad was in the first flight where I had built back to a decent stack, and got it in with 22 on Q92r. The guy had QJ, turned a J, and rivered a Q. I wasn't quite crippled, but that pot would have put me over 100 bigs at a point in the tourney where most of the blind level jumps are more reasonable.

I ended up 3b shoving 20 bigs with A5ss and getting an absurdly loose call from 44 - it was for like 60% of the guy's stack, and completely unjustifiable given my image. I bricked and lost. Managed to go dump $800 playing terribly at 1/3, then went back and bricked the second 777 flight. So it was another -2k day for me, which was pretty brutal.

Slept for about 10 hours, and now debating where to eat lunch and play next. Baud and I moved to Harrah's where I'll be for the rest of my trip. Bellagio looks pretty enticing, though I had a bit of a bad experience there my last trip. Aria has no games because of their $565 tournament, and I'm not sure I want to go to the Rio again for a while. Aside from that, the Venetian seems like the only other place with a lot of other games, and I got angle shot the other day and the game was pretty tough so I'm not sure I want to go. Plus the whole Sheldon Adelson thing is a pretty big turnoff.

Harrah's, Mirage, Bally's, etc all basically have no games running, so I'm leaning toward Wynn or Bellagio. They both have 5/10 running, so hopefully that means the 2/5 will be decent.

Pretty absurd session last night/this morning at Potawatomi. Quickly down in the game, eventually getting in for $1,775. At one point down $1,400. Battle back, don't tilt, make a few hands, pick off a few bluffs, and somehow I end my 10.5-hour session with $40 of profit. A cool $3.83/hour.

Ship. It. Betchez.

Not sure anyone still following, but this weekend was potentially my craziest poker weekend ever. Was a 65+% fave to scoop a $4,500 pot at PLO and didn't (though still made $400 in the hand cause side pot), shipped $2,500 in with KK75 pre and was wrong and couldn't get there even after flopping FD. Managed to have the swingiest session of my life, with peak stack of $3,500 from a $500 buyin, but cashing out a $1,500 loss. Then 5/5 PLO Sunday was a lot calmer and saw me with +$530.

The $980 I won Friday night at my normal private live game helped cancel out the $970 I lost at Potawatomi, but couldn't offset the stupid $218 I had to spend on the hotel cause my usual one was full. Maybe time to check out airBnB next time.

How'd you get so much money to be able to play such high stake games? Can you pm me and give me a tip or something. I'm starting with little bank roll. But I want real advice from someone who actually has a lot of money from the game, and at a faster pace than reccomended

Well, truthfully these are not "high stakes games." Also, a large part of my BR came from placing 5th in an $1,100 tournament with 635 entries. My past exploits included semi-bad BRM, which I don't really suggest.

In other news I've been in Chicago for 2 days and haven't played any poker yet. About to head to the Horseshoe Hammond to change that though.

Table is pretty soft. Effectively a somewhat nitty 1/2 in terms of difficulty. Won a decent pot with a set early and have been bleeding ever since. Still up about $90, playing tight and waiting for good spots.

Get a deep dish pizza at UNO's and go on the gangster tour. Chicago is such an awesome city, explore it if you get any free time.

Yeah, only here til tomorrow and barely got any poker in so prob gonna be grinding as much as possible. I've been here a couple times before and only live a couple hours away so whatever I can do that later.

I keep making decent hands and having to fold but I've been correct every time (weird amount of showing for a 2/5 game). Still up a bit.

Really random but I come to cardschat for the first time in like a year and read the first page of this thread and am forced to register to continue reading and I think I may have sat with you at horshoe Hammond last night. Were you wearing a cardschat shirt by any chance?

I was wearing a black CC hoodie, yeah. Were you sitting two to my left into the wee hours of the morning, per chance?

That would be I, your hoodie may have subliminally made me come here usually frequent 2+2 still pretty crazy you have a thread here and I happened to stumble upon it. Nice playing with you.

I'm interested to know what you had in the hand with the three diamond board. I don't remember the other two but it was :jd4: high and you like 3xd my weak flop bet. I'm interested if it was more of a live read situation based on how I acted as I think there is a lot of hands you can make that play with anyways. I'll tell you what I folded on the way nitty side probably should of just shoved but with so many people sitting over 1k-1.5k at the other end of the table that don't know how to spell poker I was way more interested in getting into a big hand with them and didn't wanna decimate my stack before that could happen.

I think given I never really showed down any insane bluffs, anything you folded was probably valid.

I actually don't think it's as good a spot to bluff as it may have seemed from your perspective. Your bet was small, yes, but it's a big pot so smaller bet sizes are kind of warranted, and I think with such a small SPR it's pretty suicidal to try to bluff without the Ad at minimum there. In the actual spot I had a T-high flush. I hated to bomb it, but with the call as well I figured I might get him to spazz out. I doubted you were ever calling but flatting seems pretty terrible there I think.

Pretty funny you ended up stumbling over here. Hopefully see you around in the thread more. :) Doubt I'll make it down to the Horseshoe too regularly, but maybe once in a while. I enjoyed playing with you too.
