only like 6k hands this month which is jokes cause i was getting +60k hands in during the winter but been super busy. Best month so far. Moved from 10NL-25NL.

Almost rolled for 50NL too but want to get more comfortable at 25NL first.

Just found the tourney results section on my PT4...lolROI

Over 1K in my roll now and almost rolled for 50NL. Cant wait to post some Panda > Turtle HHs again :)

Goals for the month:
  • 20K hands at 25NL/16NL
  • Read Applications of 6Max NLHE
  • Make Goldstar

Edit: Happy birthday Micro and Canada ;)

Villian; 20/18 - 50% steal (55 hands)

Thoughts on half pot size on turn ?

Also; river is interesting.....not sure if we're ever good at show down..Also; do you think it's it's ok to x/r shove the river given we have the nut flush blocker?

Villain is relatively unknown, he's 44/28, 50%AfQ over 50 hands

River is good for a small v-bet right? Could have gone bigger?

1/2 pot on the turn seems fine, I c/f the river though.

I see why you considered shoving but I don't think it would be believable as you would/should have re-raised the turn and/or bet the river if you had the nut flush.

You only beat a bluff on the river (obv) so yeah you're not good, cos he's repping the flush big time (he might check back with strong SD that isn't a flush). Getting villain to fold a small flush on a 4 flush board is doable, but trying to get him to fold on a 3flush board is suicidal.

If you shoved and he folded, I am almost 100% certain he didn't have the flush, orrr he's the biggest nit since... <insert fav nit of your choice>.

I agree with Duggs, I would have made the 4bet bigger. Since he called, we can probably discount AA, and I also think we can discount a K since he bets the river big with one of those (with the occasional x/r thrown in maybe). So, we have the best hand here often, and he's x/c the river often. So yeah, bet/fold river bigger.

Yeah I was pretty sure I had the best hand by the river, then it was a case of making a callable bet, you're probably right that he can call $3 or so with Tx or JJ, 99 etc there.

So why do we want to 4b bigger? I mean, we are IP and 2.5x is a pretty standard 4b. Is it because we are deep? Should that affect 3b/4b sizes?

Alright, really considering quitting poker. Not because im loosing, im actually winning at a reasonable winrate at 5nl over a large sample these days which is great. But I feel the game isnt that great for me and im not enjoying it very much at all anymore. Just wondering what you ccers think I should do?
Quit and withdraw complete roll?
keep at it?
or just large break?

How exactly do you feel that the game isn't great for you? And why do you think you aren't enjoying it?

Obv there is no point if you aren't enjoying so a break is a good idea...

Best solution is to only play when you feel like it. Don't force yourself into a session that you don't particularly want to play.

Recently it has been affecting my mood and all that kind of stuff, and not interested in something that use to be "fun" to be like that.

Take a good break then is my best advice and see if you still enjoy it when you come back.

Yeah I guess I should, played a session today, lost about $2 all standard but just was not enjoying it. Maybe time for some live?

Take a break and get back when feel it, could take a couple days, could take longer. I know how it is when lose motivation to keep playing. But it really depend why are you playing,
if is only for the fun and is not there anymore just stop for some time.

----------------------------------

This is a fold right?, villains line is weird but his AF is not that big to call turn. Also do we ever fold to those lame min-3bets pre? they are so anoying. Best line pre 4b/fold/call?

Yeah it looks like a good fold. Villain is insane if he's bluffing here, and all value hands beat us, except for an overplayed chop. Pre, meh, I probs call too, we're getting too nice a price to fold, but that does mean being able to fold post flop in these situations.

Yeah I don't fold to those idiot 3bets most of the time.

His line is so weird lol, he seems like a fish and not that passive so I'd be tempted to call the turn raise and see what he does on the river.

Yeah it's one of those spots, you're way ahead or way behind, it does seem like we're beat though by some weirdly played 2 pair/set or AK. His flop bet is what throws me though; I'm not sure if it's a weird sort of inducing bet or if he clicked min bet by mistake instead of selecting the slider bar, I've done that a couple of times myself.

Given we're likely going to be facing a river bet, I think it's one of those spots we need to decide now before calling the turn if we're prepared to call a river bet. If not, then I'd just muck now and move on.
