Feel this is a fold! though i get tricked in spots like this often and tend to spew a bit
Jackle43 said:Yeah I guess I should, played a session today, lost about $2 all standard but just was not enjoying it. Maybe time for some live?

1) I'm fine with the line. X/Shoving river is better than leading IMO, unless you plan to open shove which is just weird. You obv looking to get stacks in here and with his turn raise you are almost guaranteed he will bet the river so checking instead of leading just maximizes value vs his range that can value bet but not GII. You say he is a fish but don't give stats, depending on how much of a drooler he is you could make a case for just open shoving river, but I prefer a turn shove if he is that bad. Almost every fish though is going to bet river here, even the most passive ones will still bet A2 here and by X/R'ing you help them feel like they have committed too much to fold. Overall I think you played it as good as possible.
2) Vs this player type I don't think the turn gives you any more FE, if you are going to make him fold any % of his calling range after you raise the flop you would have to size it larger IMO. I wouldn't recommend even betting turn TBH, I check back turn and go for small value OTR, probs like 2.80-3.20. Villain is pretty nitty so it's great to raise flop but I just don't see continuing to run a bluff vs this guy as profitable.

@Doom not going to talk about each hand but all of them carry a similar trend of passivity. Really seems like you are missing out on some value in a lot of those spots.

Villian is a tight passive player. (zoom poker; meaning stats might not be 100%) Given, our UTG+1 opening range & his x/r line, (Of course he likely expects us to fire one cbet but the turn is obviously a good card for us to barrel given our positional open) I feel he's either drawing or has a weak Qx/Jx hand all of which surely can't take a river bet or do you actually think firing the river is probably bad?

decided to flat because I think this is a spot regs are going to 3bet a ton as bluffs.
villain is on the aggro side and is a reg so i decided it was going to be better for me to flat the 3 bet and GII hopefully by the turn by letting him spew.
F3bet is 80%
Got the absolute sickest board ever which was nice![]()
anyone like it? or is everyone going to say 4bet gii pre?
