So some of you might have seen the hand I posted in HA last night, tried to play this a bit more agggro, line check plz

PokerStars - $0.16 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: $15.68
Hero (BB): $16.00
UTG: $12.50
CO: $33.95
BTN: $18.30

SB posts SB $0.08, Hero posts BB $0.16

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.24) Hero has Q<font color='red'>♦</font> Q<font color='black'>♠</font>

UTG raises to $0.48, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $1.75, UTG calls $1.27

Flop: ($3.58, 2 players) 8<font color='red'>♦</font> A<font color='black'>♠</font> 3<font color='black'>♣</font>
Hero bets $1.85, UTG calls $1.85

Turn: ($7.28, 2 players) 7<font color='red'>♦</font>
Hero checks, UTG bets $2.88, fold

Looks good to me. Only thing is what is villian's fold to 3b? Unless it's something ridic like <40%, I think you played it fine.

Just had a great Live session at my local casino, Crown in Melbourne, at the 1-3 table. First hand in BB with K7s and flopped the nut flush and managed to get it all in by the river and doubled up as soon as I sat at the table. Around three hands later doubled up again with pocket aces against AK pre flop. Made around 400 in the first 20 mins at the table. The rest of the session was just smooth sailing and ended cashing out for +3BIs
Just thought I would share

I keep track of my bankroll. They aren't necessarily partitioned in any physical/digital way, like separate accounts, but I keep record.

Personally I keep a virtual sticky open on my computer with my bankroll amount, and after every session I update it. Just do whatever comes naturally to you.

Yep, I love poker....Just had a terrible session online. -3BI and running way below even. Also played pretty bad and players on the tables were just tilting me!
Still not to good at handling the swings and the mental side as I see myself doing stupid plays when I should just end the session.
Any tips how to stay positive because even though my online bankroll is not that injured the past few online sessions have been mentally draining and also drained some confidence in play.

This series helped me, however I still get pissed off and have to leave for 10 minutes when a maniac called 70BB's down to showdown with A high and won -_- (didn't know he was a maniac then). However you do have to subscribe for deuces cracked. I would just say it takes practice to stop tilting, like with all things, you just have to not care about the money or brush off a bad play and move onto the next hand.

Tilt is not money-related for most people (from what I know).

Why can't it be money related? If you look at the graph and see that your down it has an affect mentally, even if it is only a small amount of tilt, this is a by-product of playing bad/bad beats, which can lead to tilt. That's why it's recommended not to look at how well you are doing until the end of the session.

Just getting to the river in largely bet pots with ace high and ofcourse river the ace haha. Just things like that happened all session. I only lost 1BI from actually going all in the rest was lost in other hands either playing poorly or getting sucked out on.
Being hungover probably didnt help anything

That suck Doc, but looks standard, both villain not going to fold and we want they not fold. i know it hurts man but please don´t start posting bad beats here. 9k thread (the one with title "i can´t win this month") looks better for that or your thread too.

If learn something is that we don´t get nothing positive posting Bad beats, we can´t change nothing and only make people mad because no one like to read bitching. Best of luck man. Hope it turns around.:)

Hero (BTN): $2.03
SB: $2.19

CO: $1.49

Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero is BTN with J :spade: Q

River: ($3.54) A :diamond: (2 players)
SB bets $0.45 all in, Hero?

This ace has for sure helped villian but we are commited completely to the pot really so are we calling? I know I played this hand pretty bad but just want a bit of a line check

I will tell outcome after a few replys
I called the 4bet PF basically because he was super aggro and doing this so much that if we hit most of the time we are good. He had already got it in pre flop with k9o and 77.
His stats were around 65/50 over around 80 hands

If you do have problems with tilt owing to variance and stuff, then you should move tables if you have a guy like this to your left.
Jackle43 said:

QJ is behind his range so far, so just fold and move table.

As played, ship turn.

Getting a stack in with One pair is usually bad, it can be fine at these stakes but J/Q on this board is too bad unless you think villain calls down with worse, maybe draws. I would probably check the turn even though it is draw heavy and always calling river. Not sure how light people stack off at 2nl, I imagine it is pretty damn light though. It would be nice if you have a read on what hands he gets all in with post-flop, makes the decision for the turn bet easier.
