So are you double barrelling the turn if it is another Club or a 7?

Lol no.

Because he has 30-50% equity in general it is +EV to bet the flop. If a club or a 7 hits it changes everything and his equity shoots up, he has the best hand a ton here if he becomes aggressive.

Just because it is correct to bet on the flop, doesn't mean we have to keep betting. If it is no longer correct it is no longer correct.

So you're going to bet pot? if he re-raises does he have the straight or is he on the draw or does he have a smaller set? How can you possibly be sure? And how many chips do you invest before you decide you're beat? If villain has set of Kings or Tens he obv thinks he has the best hand, ditto if he AK. If he is only a flush draw a pot sized bet isn't going to do it. If you bet pot, get called, pot the turn and get re-raised you will never know if you laid down the best hand.

Also note: I forgot to add QQ & JJ to the range I estimated above. By adding those two plus QT on that board AA has 80% equity (Just got home and stoved it)

So why wouldn't I shove here?????//

People call with draws and they hit with draws it happens. We want him to pay more than he should with his draws but we still want him to call not fold. If he then hits then it's up to us to fold. We just played perfectly.

Haha every so often spontaneous poker discussion erupts. I like to think I'm one of the main instigators like this one :)

So the question is, who hasn't started drinking yet? Started with a pint of Guinness at the pub but back at mine for a shower and some pre-drinks before hitting town. Should be a good 'un. What's everybody else's plans look like?

this has been ridiculous. still ~7k in winnings to go, but it does seem like he is running away with the 52k they put against him.

what are his usual stakes though?

Think he playing at least 1/2 up to 3/6.

Let me know how to do this

+1 that would be sick.

Dude I googled it and you litterarly just plug it in, why have I never thought of this? For a wireless one though you need to buy a wireless receiver.

http://www.brighthub.com/video-games/pc/articles/11612.aspx

Ok if you have a wired controller you dont need the wireless adaptor ldo! If you have a wireless controller you need the adaptor which costs about £17 or I dunno $25 or so.

Now you also need some software so that you can programme the buttons on you controller to match up to the mouse/keyboard on your pooter.

There are a few around like joy 2 key and xpadder, but I tried joy 2 key and it tilted the f*** out of me so I d/l the free version of xpadder 5.3 (which incedently is the last FREE version of it otherwise you play $10).

Xpadder is so sweet and easily programmable.

If your stuck search on You Tube as there's lots of tutorials from pooter geeks.

You shouldn't shove here because you like money. Pot is fine, maybe a little less. If he raises, great, we can 3bet. Against the hand you seem to be so scared of (QJ) we still have 38% equity. Against exactly QJcc we have 33%. We're crushing his range and not all the hands in that range are going to call if we shove. You think QQ/JJ call a shove? He can't have many Ax hands because there is only 1 Ace left in the deck. So we want a hand like KQ/KJ to call, not fold. We want him to think he has FE with his draws and shove over us. If you're shoving here it's really costing you a ton of value.

You're reasoning is sound. I would probably shove becuase I don't thnk I could lay down ever in this hand.

Would you ever lay down here?

When? Why? I mean if we bet pot and he calls. And the turn is bad, we're betting again. And if the river is worse and he still shoves we can fold. Say it's a 4 straight, 4 flush, unpaired board. But in general we're shoveling the money in as fast as possible.

so you could fold a set of Aces on the river after putting 1/3 of your stack in?

I couldnt fold a set of aces on the river even if villain flipped over his cards and showed me I was beat before he shoved.

Although I did fold a set of jacks on the river only yesterday.

Half a league, half a league,
space.gif
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
space.gif
Rode the six hundred.
"Forward, the Light Brigade!
"Charge for the guns!" he said:
Into the valley of Death
space.gif
Rode the six hundred.
2.
"Forward, the Light Brigade!"
Was there a man dismay'd?
Not tho' the soldier knew
space.gif
Someone had blunder'd:
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die:
Into the valley of Death
space.gif
Rode the six hundred.
3.
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon in front of them
space.gif
Volley'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of Hell
space.gif
Rode the six hundred.
4.
Flash'd all their sabres bare,
Flash'd as they turn'd in air,
Sabring the gunners there,
Charging an army, while
space.gif
All the world wonder'd:
Plunged in the battery-smoke
Right thro' the line they broke;
Cossack and Russian
Reel'd from the sabre stroke
space.gif
Shatter'd and sunder'd.
Then they rode back, but not
space.gif
Not the six hundred.
5.
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon behind them
space.gif
Volley'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
While horse and hero fell,
They that had fought so well
Came thro' the jaws of Death
Back from the mouth of Hell,
All that was left of them,
space.gif
Left of six hundred.
6.When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
space.gif
All the world wondered.
Honor the charge they made,
Honor the Light Brigade,
space.gif
Noble six hundred.

When slow play goes wrong. Villain is a 78/3 over a decent sample.

Ive had so much run bad lately that Ive dropped down to 4nl just so I dont tilt off BIs. Also I was like 100% sure he had AJ as well cause thats just how I run lately but just in case he has 2 pair+ that he didnt feel like folding I just shoved it in.

Merge - $0.04 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

CO: $4.31
BTN: $6.53
SB: $4.75
BB: $4.00
Hero (UTG): $6.51
MP: $5.99
SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.04

Pre Flop: ($0.06) Hero has J:club: A:spade:

Hero raises to $0.14, fold, fold, fold, SB calls $0.12, fold

Flop: ($0.32, 2 players) Q:diamond: 4:spade: 3:club:
SB checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($0.32, 2 players) K:diamond:
SB checks, Hero checks

River: ($0.32, 2 players) T:heart:
SB bets $0.32, Hero raises to $1.28, SB raises to $2.24, Hero raises to $6.37 and is all-in, SB calls $2.37 and is all-in

Hero shows J:club: A:spade: (Straight, Ace High) (PreFlop 29%, Flop 15%, Turn 9%)
SB shows K:heart: K:spade: (Three of a Kind, Kings) (PreFlop 71%, Flop 85%, Turn 91%)
Hero wins $0.00
Hero wins $9.07

Something to be happy about in this rigged month of March and I love it soo much when people slowplay like this and get nailed for it.
