Hi, i really need some help gathering information, im leaving ipoker because i want to play nl50 in a softer site( nl50 in ipoker has a small field and almost full of regs), and im between 888 poker and partypoker, any tips?

Yeah, I hear you. Let's focus on the things we talked about. And also, I think you should cut back on a few hands. Play a little tighter for right now. In general, there's too big of a gap between your VPIP and PFR, so cut out the cold calling unless it makes sense w/ small pairs. Otherwise, lean more towards 3-bet or folding.

Can you come in on the sweating sessions? I plan to be in there this week, so if you can make it in try.

Ive recently cut back on calling OOP usually from the blinds with suited connectors and small pairs unless more than 1 caller or one of them is an aggressive player.

Today even managed to win a few buyins depsite a couple of coolers

Im still a curious fish at heart and not sure about the others but would be interested in spots where hands could be posted and what could be consider as ok to fold or give up.

I know some of you would say easy fold easy call etc but Id say this is my biggest weakness, probably need to work moer on HUD stats to get better reads

Hand2 Decided to call 3Bet as in position, OOP would probably fold. FLop cant fold to 1 bet when I hit 2nd pair. Turn even more equity so when they bet im thinking should i even have called the 3Bet lol. Bit late now

I just call in the second hand and decide on the river what i'm doing. I probably fold to a 3rd bet unless we flush, make trips or two pair.

The last hand just fold. Could he be bluffing? Sure. However, with that price it is impossible to call profitably over a large sample. Just take a note on the guy and muck your hand.

hand 1 if I get raised here by an unknown who hasn't thus far been aggressive then we can fold. It depends on how big he goes but in general I'd want some other draw going for me as well before calling a raise here. I have a similar hand that or3o1990 and I discussed over skype last night. There was one other spot we wanted to post as well.
Hand 2 I'm calling we have a good draw to the nuts, he's already showing signs of being aggressive and could be double barreling his full range here.
Plus we want him to know that 3 betting us from the blinds is going to be tough and we will get sticky, lets say he has AK, which is a good part of his range and either flush draw comes in, its a really tough spot to call with TPTK if he checks and we shove the river.

I actually think as the villian is so weak and aggressive that we can actually just fold to the min check raise here. This is always a very strong hand from a player like this.

not necessarily the fish could have anything especially lots of flush draws and overs.

Dont see it as losing another 1.50 to the fish if you fold out the button as even if you are beat you are getting 7/1 and you have nearly 30% equity with 2 overs and bd flush

Yes... cut down A LOT on all of this cold calling. It's one of the primary things that's bleeding your roll for you. It's pretty obvious when you look at your stats because everything else is looking pretty solid.

Small sample, but sometimes I even small value 4-bet if I think someone is 3-betting too much in these spots. But yes, call the turn, and possibly call river depending on sizing. Call / fold will be close if you don't improve, so it's really not a big decision.

Bet more on the turn. When you bet so small you're inviting opponents to open up their bluff and semi-bluff range. I mean it makes no sense for him to check a flush draw, and then jam it to a weak beat on the turn. He's a passive gish most likely, and that's the only reason I'd consider folding. If he was even a little more aggressive, I think you're going to see a lot of AsXx here or combo hands like As3x, etc..

That's fine, but why are you calling the turn then? What would you expect to catch on the river that you're calling and feeling good about if you're planning to fold to 1/2 pot on a blank river?

I thought ipoker used to be really soft as it has alot of sportsbook sites attached to it but I havent played there for over 6months and never reached the heady heights of 50nl only managed to get to 25nl.

Ive heard 888 can be pretty soft and now Party has made it more difficult for regs by disabling HUDS and trying to eliminate the table stalkers lol it should be ok

To your question, just call. I mean you can't push him off a better hand. There are only draw combos that you'd be ahead of if you raised. To put it blunty, there's no value in raising. You have a good hand that is likely ahead of his range, but not strong enough to raise, and doesn't make sense to turn into a bluff.

With agg that low I'm more inclined to raise here for value again and also just to take control of the hand. They'll likely check the river and not lead again if you're raised twice, and if they do lead you can probably fold safely. If he 3-bets the flop, you fold. You're deep enough that his range is still going to be too wide, and there's plenty of value to be had, but you don't want to stack off.

How did the remainder of the session go? Post some of those hands you weren't sure about from the session Fig. I think it's good if you get clear on those spots because you second guess what we're doing a lot when the result isn't always what we ideally want. Those are good learning opportunities you want to be clear on.

Although we lost a little overall I'm very happy with the stats on the 6max 25nl tables. We folded to a lot of three bets but they were all to guys with value only 3bet stats.

Personally I think the JJ hand was a fold, I know the guy was a fish but from his flop donk lead out, our raise and his shove, it looked obvious to me he had a queen and that he was value shoving, we called off too much there with 2nd pair and it was our biggest mistake of the session. If he had just shoved on the flop than maybe a call but not after we raise his donk and then he shoves.

The second mistake was calling the min raise on the river in this hand but considering the board and he could have a strong 2 pair we thought we had to.

Although we lost a little overall I'm very happy with the stats on the 6max 25nl tables. We folded to a lot of three bets but they were all to guys with value only 3bet stats.

Personally I think the JJ hand was a fold, I know the guy was a fish but from his flop donk lead out, our raise and his shove, it looked obvious to me he had a queen and that he was value shoving, we called off too much there with 2nd pair and it was our biggest mistake of the session. If he had just shoved on the flop than maybe a call but not after we raise his donk and then he shoves.

The second mistake was calling the min raise on the river in this hand but considering the board and he could have a strong 2 pair we thought we had to.

I didn't see the 77 hand so can't really comment. I think the call is ok though from the HH.

But the JJ hand wasn't a mistake. Why don't you post it so we can discuss it. I think it's indicative of a lot of other hands I've heard you second guess the decisions about when the results aren't what we want. We don't want to get results oriented correct? Post it up. I can see it in your results screenshot there. Remember, on the flop I said we're raising, and not folding to a shove. I'm not sure if you heard this or what because I was surprised than when he shoved you said you wanted to fold. He was a short stacked fish.
