Well, short answer yes. I'd even fold aces in some cases (yes, preflop).

It depends on a lot of stuff, are you talking about preflop or pos flop?
I can fold many hands pos flop. but when it comes to preflop. I'll hardly fold KK, but still, is not imposible.

The probability of winning two kings against one random hand is 82.6%, against two hands - 69.1%, against four - 42.5%. Aggressive pre-flop play will help you get rid of unnecessary opponents. In this case, you can play quite calmly. There can only be a pair of aces preflop with two kings, but there are very few such hands in the same hand.:)

folding KK

It has never happened to me before and I don't think it's gonna happen to me in the future or not. I remember the time I had AA and I flat call in UTG there was raise in MP and a call in HJ and there was all in SB and I shoved everyone else folded and my opponent showed me KK we decided to run it twice preflop and he won the first pot with three of a kind and the second one with king-high flush this is one my bad beats of all times

It all depends on the situation really. If yr 1 person out of the money yea its smart to fold. But its also good to have.

There is no way I am folding kings.in 3 way action the other 2 could easilly have AK or QQ, JJ. If I come up against aces, so be it . However the fact that there ar 2 other players, could probably block at least one ace if not 2. Also any thing could happen on the flop or after. I have lost a 600k first prize in a tourney after floppping a third ace, then loosing runner runner , to Q7 for 90 % of the chips in play.

Thank you for posting.

I would like to help you with your format of this question as it was slightly confusing to me.

Blinds are 15/30 in a tournament or cash game? Online? Live?

Hero is in the HJ and limps for 30? KK

SB raises to 120

BB calls 120

Hero 3 bets to 480 total or 480 more thus 510 of hero's stack in the pot?

SB 4 bets to 2520

BB calls 2520? or less? Are you getting 3-1 on your call?

Pot is 5500? 1520 for you to call. 3.5 -1 pot odds.

My answer:

So the question is what range of hands would SB make this play with.

We know for sure all players will do this with AA KK: Some with AK.

Would this villain play QQ JJ AQ this way? What about 1010 99 88 or 98 suited?

Does this villain expect to get called or expecting to get folds?

Have you been taking notes on this villain?
Is villain TAG NIT LAG-Loose wild?

How have you been playing? Are you loose wild? What hands do you think this villain puts you on when you limp 3 bet? Does this villain put you on hands?

Is this an isolation attempt by SB to knock out BB and get it heads up with You who SB perceives as playing too wide a range. IE you limp 3 bet 99 88?

Hope this helps

:):)

Great analysis but in reality, you are jamming the whole way.

King King

Depends on the flop, would not go all-in pre-flop as this would be a crap shoot/bingo. I prefer to see my cards and then decide no lotto ticket here. Skill vs. Luck again no way way Jose. Capo1014

It would depend on a lot of different circumstances, If I was very close to the Bubble and already in the money, then yes I would even fold Pocket Aces in an MTT.
If it was in a 9 player sit and go I would never fold KK it would be an all-in raise get it in good and cross my fingers, If I lost then register for the next table,
It would be ridiculous to go deep in a MTT game and then throw it all away on one hand, but if the mood struck me I might even shove all-in.

it depends a lot, start of tournament I would pay 2 of the best cards in the deck, the problem doing everything in is that you count on luck too

it depends a lot on what stage the tournament is on, how the players are playing and who you are playing at the table I find a very complex question because it involves a lot of things I already fold AA because I already fold KK, I don't see any problem in folding everything is a matter of the moment or rather the stage of the tournament.

In this situation, I would not fold. I can only fold effortlessly in a satellite with a passed stack.

It all depends on the situation and stage of the tour. Of course you can fold KK on a wet board.
I myself never dumped, so there is nothing surprising

I would have a very tough time laying down KK in what appears to be an early tournament hand unless I had some read (unlikely at that point) or knew these specific players.

I guess my other question is why did we limp from the HJ position to begin with and how many players possibly limped before us.

If there were other limpers, I am raising KK every time.

If everyone folded to me, I could consider limping if I knew someone behind me would make a raise so I could reraise, or was hoping to allow an aggressive player to play me while I had position (provided the button folds). But this is very situation specific and has backfired on me before.

It is almost but not quite inconceivable, involving very tight players raising and being reraised by other tight players smart enough to recognize the tightness of the initial raiser.
