If this were my job it would be just great because I really like playing poker and I play when I have a desire to play and free time to play, but unfortunately I don’t play so well that I can fully support myself with poker !!!

I consider playing poker an interesting part-time job; I only play in freerolls.

I consider poker as a hobby that can generate additional income. At least poker makes me money, but I definitely don't consider it a job for me.

if the cost of living where I live was 1/10th of what it is, I could easily be a poker pro ;)
Currently I don't make 1/2 of Minimum wage here.

I would never regard Poker as a Job, There are professional players that can make money from Poker, But you usually find they do something else besides playing Poker, I know one Pro that plays really well, but he understands that sometimes he can go weeks or even months without a decent win.
During the Lockdown's he wasn't able to play at Casino level, as they were all closed, So how does he make a living?
From his investments, he is a Partner in a restaurant and makes money from that, Plus he owns several rental properties that provide him with a living so that he can survive the downswings in his Poker winnings.
He doesn't need to do work on those properties, as an Agency manages them for him, but if he buys a new property he will do most of the repairs and renovations that are required himself, before adding it to his portfolio.
So in reality he is a Landlord/Poker Pro. Even Players like Phil Helmuth have other investments besides playing Poker.

Just like me, I think that poker can be a hobby for the majority here on the forum.
Those who already make a living from this do not have a regular job, but support themselves from 10-12 hours of poker a day.

Agreed. Its not fun :p
But self emplyoment does that to you from time to time . Some months are poorly in terms of orders which result in me bringing my A game on the felt to compensate for a weak month ,😅

I think not, because if you hope for poker, you can make a very big mistake and lose just because the person is lucky so try to go about your business in life and play poker and get even extra income that's the better way I do it and consider poker to be an extra income

I don't see poker as a job. For me, poker is entertainment, a hobby. But there is a nice nuance, my hobby from time to time also brings me money :)
And i use poker like job more than 10 years ))
Last some years income not so big, about 150$-200$/month, but this ammount not so bad for our country...
I glad to have free time due to this "work from home"...

Work is work, a source of income, a guarantee of well-being (including family well-being). The game is, by and large, a whim, a whim. The question is to separate one from the other - first of all for yourself.Playing poker is like a roller coaster. There is no set salary, you can't just ace the interview and go to work on Monday. You will need a huge amount of work (a certain foundation) to even try to turn this activity into a source of income.

Considering that I play 8-9 hours a day and often successfully, poker looks like a side job for me.

No, only a madman/woman would. Poker for me is a hobby, a bit of fun. Sometimes i can't stop playing, then sometimes i don't play for months.
