Do you play poker only to get rich?

Perhaps you are seeing the game from your own perspective, but it's not always the case. A great many people find gambling fun, whether or not they have an expectation make profit. Casino's would not exist if this were not the case, neither would sportsbooks.

Hoping to win a big prize (such as a big MTT or a sat tournament) isn't the same as looking at it as a way to get rich.

Yea most people will always think about poker as a shame game , coz they know nothing about online poker and tournaments , and "responsible gaming" and "bankroll management" and "the study" and many other topics ..
They just think that bad drunk guys sit around a table , and throw there money in the middle for a card game.

I enjoy playing and while it is very unlikely I'd actually get rich it sure would be nice. I've lost 1/2 my bankroll in 3 months but hopefully making a comeback I was thrilled to finish in 3rd place today in a $1.10 tournament where I won $10.08 less of course the buy in. Everybody plays so seriously you would think we were at the wsop..
Although somebody did call my QQ all in with a 9 and 5 Hearts:sheep:.
