So I generally play during this period in the afternoon and evening

I agree with you the best time to play poker is at night and when your family or family is sleeping so as not to be distracted by them and quietly try to win the tournament because sometimes minimal distraction leads to a defeat in poker and then you get mad at your family and friends.
