In my first month of playing poker i was involved to play many games at pokerstars as holdem, omaha, stud or razz, where you could win a ticket for weekend game. It wasn't easy for me so as i remember i didn't win any money for first month. Nowadays there is no tournaments like they. That's the shame they gave a lot of fun and experience with that kind of games.

Unfortunately, in the first month I couldn't earn anything but lost a small amount of money. And it's unlikely that most players had anything else. After all, the thing is that right away to start earning money, you need either to be very lucky or to already have some knowledge and skills.
