In a single session I have dropped as much as $400 US.
Over 15 years, I am down about $2000 US total.
Included in that total is $1400 US in casino dealer tips, which I consider part of my losses.
All in all, I am down about $400 US over 15 years. Wish I were ahead, but I have a lot of hours of entertainment, fun, collegiality, and challenges for that money.

To date I have lost $ 110. My bankroll is currently at $ 98. I want to cash out when I have recovered the $ 110. Then I will start a new bankroll with only freeroll money. It's my plan. But every now and then I freak out. lol

I am lazy to play freeroll tournaments between 3000 people because they are thrown with 2 or 3 ofsuitted and they win you a few kks AA

in my case, by going up to levels that were not the one I was beating, I lost 250 us in a pair of hands

Some time ago about 6 years or a little more I made the very serious mistake of playing omaha without knowing anything about that modality or rather without any experience on that modality of game, I played at cash tables in the limits nl50, being a Texas holdem player in the sit & go modality had been playing for a few months well and gathering my bankroll I had by then almost 1k I had come from winning some mtts and sit & go tournaments and well I incurred for omaha wanting to win more money and I almost ended up losing everything In just 5 days I lost around $ 700 It was a very bad experience.

I think the most I lost in one night playing live cash games with $1/$2 blinds is around $500

I cannot quite remember the most I lost in poker one night. I think it was around $10 playing on a cash table but that would be going back as far as 2010 so it's over a decade. Just goes to show that I play MTT tournaments and low buy-ins on satellites. I don't play cash tables anymore.

I probably lost $ 100 because of my basic knowledge of poker, and I lost $ 11 in one tournament.

Nobody starts playing poker wanting to lose, but soon you realize that losing is inevitable. Of all the skill-based strategy games, there is none where players who have a significant advantage over their regular opponents lose as often as in poker.

To become a great poker player, learn to lose. And for this you need to know exactly where you played well. It's a fine line and it's hard to get there, but the goal is simple: minimize the impact of losses on your game and the amount of hands played.

A few years ago, I won a $ 215 Sunday Million satellite. I exchanged the ticket for T money. I remember losing 70 in a single day, paying entry fees from $ 11 to $ 22.

Thanks for Reminding Me....

Lost $150 in Valentines Day Couples Tournament, (a tournament we had cashed for approx. 2k in the previous few years, and should have been a K or so more... I digress). Followed-up by a $200 (No Bueno) loss at the Limit Hold'em tables (not my favorite game for a reason). Not a good day. :( So Negative $350 welt it is (I still have a scar). :frown:

Further Elaboration on An Interesting Experience...

So, back to the Valentine’s Day Couples Tournament at a local casino. We were at the Final Table with 6 couples left (the top 5 get paid). The format is that one person per couple plays for 30 minutes (two blind levels), other person has to leave the poker room, so... we were co-chip leaders with 4 much smaller stack couples. So, I am outside the room negotiating with the other 5 non-playing equally minded parties as to how to chop the pay-out and go on our way (we had been playing for several hours). We were dealing with a $5k total payout, and all were onboard with a 1500-1500-500-500-500-500 chop. We just had to notify the dealer to stop play and consult other partners.

Whoops, my gal walks out to greet us... OH NO! She got into a tussle with the other Big Stack and came out on the short end. He was by far the most accomplished player in the game (a regular successful cash player at the casino) and he took all her chips with a boat vs her A High Flush.

That was painful, but that is the way poker goes sometimes!

Best of Luck At the Tables All,

CheezeWiz

P.S. - When I lost the $200 at the Limit Hold'em Tables, my mind-set might have been less that perfect...lol!

Hi.
In all, I have lost no more than $ 100 in all the time I have been playing poker. And to be honest, I think that is a lot. But I was able to stop in time and started playing freerolls and thus improve my skills and build a bankroll.
Good luck.

I played 250$ spin and goes but that is when you are too greedy. Luckily as a person űi growned up not to do these mistakes again. :)
Oh, and if I want to got into a tournament, I really often try sattelites which are working for me and saving more money.

Years ago when online poker started,I had 300 dollars built up in a site, and i am really not sure which one it was lol.I was playing a multi tourney, and took a bad beat, with only 2 places from the money. That put me over the edge,i took the entire 300 and played about 1 hour in a 1,2 ring game and lost it all.
