if you lose money, then your level is freerolls, when you beat this level you will be able to play for money won from freerolls, then you will not lose money

If you lose to fast or to much then better rethink the way you play or you will live one day under the bridge.

What do you play? What level are you playing? If it is tourney, also what buyin level, how big fields? How many hands, tourneys have you played? etc. Basically you don't say any fact what could be a starting point to decide yes or no - except you lost some money, what already happened with all poker players. So based on that, no, you shouldnt stop.

If you just started, you picked the worst room. High rakes, no real rakeback program, everybody wants to earn huge, so they go there, as they still have the biggest player pool. In my opinion, very bad idea to start poker in that room.

What rooms are preferable to start playing MTT in your opinion?

Just a suggestion but perhaps you should play for lower stakes and have a look at where you are going wrong whilst taking a break to reflect

You've come to the right place to ask that question.
First - Please join my "Home Game" on PokerStars. We are a fun loving group of old Canadian guys who will be happy to take your Canadian loonies and toonies. You won't feel so bad knowing that your money is staying in Canada and supporting seniors.
Second - Seriously, many people on Cardschat do want to help you with this question - as do I. However, we need more info.
1. How long have you been playing poker?
2. What games are you playing on PokerStars? (Cash, Tourneys, etc).
3. What kind of poker are you playing? (Holdem, Omaha, other)
4. What stakes are you playing?
5. What is your poker experience?
Thank you Sir. But I think I need more information for me to join your ''Home Game'' on Pokerstar

I don't think you should stop playing. You must learn discipline with your money and you must learn more about poker. Set a monthly fee for Poker. Something that doesn't compromise your budget and will be happy. But study the game. Being a fish is not playing poker.

If you have lost a lot of money, then it is better not to play for your own money and play only in freerolls and from the money won there, play for that money.

When you lose money in poker, you have to look for the reason (bankroll management, technical level, tilt ...).

It's hard to lose your money when you have the technical level, good bankroll management and a good mind for bad runs.

Consider all options before stopping, is it a case of bankroll management, reduce number of games played or cost of buy ins/consider taking a break and if these are options you cannot stick to - then yes taking an enforced break or stopping altogether.

there are other options when I realized that I lost a lot of money, I started playing free tournaments and gradually I recaptured all my losses, you need to constantly work on your game and have a bankroll and you will succeed, but it rather depends on you and the specific situation , it is very difficult to give a single piece of advice

It all depends on whether you can afford to lose it, if you are struggling with other bill's and a mortgage, then I would say Yes! Stop now and take a real long look at your game play, Go back to basics and play more Free-rolls that cost nothing to play, and try to build back your Bankroll, sure it is hard work, but worth it in the end.
Poker does not have to cost you money, and the first Rule is never try to win Games that are out of your League! If you are depositing $100 Dollars you should limit your games to a maximum $1. Dollar buy-in, that is just 1% of your initial deposit, Playing games with any bigger buy-in and you are heading for trouble.
Buying in for $10 Dollar games would see your bankroll gone in one day if you are on a downswing,
Get Rich Schemes are a Myth! they never work and certainly don't when playing Poker, be more selective on the game's you choose to play, and study before you try to play a different format, because every game format, whether it is a Cash Game, a Ring Game or an MTT or anything in between, they all have different playing styles, even Bounty Hunter games play differently to other Hold-em poker games.
So don't give up completely, go back to basics and find where your weaknesses are.
Good Luck!

When the fun Stops, STOP!

Oh a general question. Can we talk beside of this, about when to stop in an actual sitting? I cannot find the proper point to stop, before the decisions go bad and money is lost. Anyone has any advice or cash-game rules? How do you end your sessions? With an alarm clock or something?

!

Well....you're in with the 85% that don't make money with online poker, and of the rest, 1/3 of them, are covering their buy-ins.

If you love the game, as most of us do, you might try decreasing your investment.

I would also strongly suggest that you read some books on poker, and pay special emphasis on "bankroll management". I did, and it turned my game around. I'm not making a fortune, by my head is above water, and I've been playing for many years.

I forget where I read this, but it has always stuck with me: When playing tournaments, stick to a buy-in of no more than 10% of your bankroll. If you're still losing, at the very least, you will be playing longer, and gaining experience. You'll also develop a comfort level for yourself, at which level you can win in.

For me, I've found that if I enter tournaments with a buy in of $20+, I start having a tougher time, because the quality of player is higher.

Hope you can use some of this info.

Good luck.

Undoubtedly, you should stop to analyze your game to identify the reasons for the losses. You may need to work out with a trainer.
