The family or the couple is ahead of poker! Otherwise it is a poker addiction

Marriage or poker

Gee let me think. The only thing marriage and poker have in common is that it can drain your wallet. No contest poker wins no doubt.

a marriage vs poker it's a bit the same I guess. sometimes you have good days and enjoy them. but other days you are happy when a day is over when things go wrong. but with both choices, you will have to invest a lot of money, attention and time. but after all you still love your wife as the same you love play poker.

I have been playing since 2009, I have never stopped playing for more than 2 or 3 months, but every now and then this break helps to take the focus off the game a little and look for other important things.

Being a poker addict will affect literally everything including your marriage. The problem is being addicted, to anything. Get that addressed first, then the rest will fall into place.

I think that this question is not as easy as you initially think. For people who only play occasionally, it shouldn't be a question of deciding between a game or for the partner / family. But I can imagine that for people who are professional poker players and earn their living with it, this question is not that easy. But on the other hand, the partner should see it as a job and not as an addiction, that is very quickly claimed when you play poker. People who are addicted to poker should stop playing poker without the question of whether you lose your spouse, because addiction is a disease that must be treated.

you always have to choose the family over any game, there is nothing else, but I think everyone needs his time and I think during this time you can relax playing poker without affecting your relationship with your family :)

Regardless of poker, addiction to anything undermines any social relationship. The good thing is to know how to balance the time to play and the time to love and live.

I can totally see how it would cause an issue with your spouse because it can be very time consuming especially in a tourney with 5 hours late reg[emoji849] but I am very lucky because my hubby plays poker too so and he gets even more consumed by it than I do.

It all depends on which one is the most important in your life! Your wife or poker!

If your wife is gnawing at you for the game, leave her if there are no children yet, if there are children in marriage, then the family should be preserved and secretly continue to play poker.

My girlfriend is totally against poker. She doesn't like it, she thinks that if I succumb to excitement, I can lose a lot. But I'm holding myself together. And I play when she's not around. Don't think, I'm not hiding from her that I'm playing. It's just that when she's around, I prefer to spend time with

If you were a poker addict and it was affecting your marriage, would you quit playing poker if it meant not losing your wife?

It depends on two answers:

Do you love your wife?

Are you profitable?

Yes, yes -- I try to show the good side of the game.

Yes, No -- I stop playing.

No, Yes -- I separate.

No, No - I stop playing lol.
