I often reflect that an opponent's lack of respect is usually the noise that tries to hide their lack of strategy, their lack of patience, or simply likes to annoy others. I've seen a lot of players using it, whether it's going all-in with junk hands, throwing out the different animations, garbage talks, the impressive number of times you do limp and wanting to play with all your hands. The question is: Are you going to let his ego dictate your game, or are you going to let his arrogance empty his chips? I imagine it's different and easy to do behind a screen, because sometime I'd like to play live poker, but it would be difficult to deal with people like that in a real casino.

Yes it's annoying, but there are such people everywhere, so we treat it differently. Don't get hung up on it.

Just ignore them, that's what most players do.

Encountering disrespectful players is, indeed, a very unpleasant situation. But the main goal is to play poker and make the best decisions. The behavior of other players should not influence our strategy or emotional state. Focus on analyzing the disrespectful player's moves, not their words.

Thanks for the advice, all in all it helps me to develop more patience.

I just hate these players!!!!!!

Unfortunately, there are Triples A's in poker(Always Arrogant A*holes) who use bullying, stalling, and disruptive behavior, to cover up a weak game. I close my eyes and pretend to sleep. They eventually stop. I also do not converse with about anything, to me the only thing about them that I acknowledge is their play. Were you referring to Will Kasouf from GB? He seems to be the resident asshole who infects every game he is in.

The truth is simple: the loud ones are usually hiding weak play. I let them talk , their arrogance empties their stack faster than I ever could

Dude, it's very individual, but in general, if you allow yourself to get irritated, it will be very bad for your game in the long run. Mental preparation should be considered, even more so for those who play more live, especially against this type of irritating player.

There aren’t only four aces in the deck — there are also four deuces. I used to play only strong hands as well, and it didn’t lead to anything good. But when you’re willing to play any hand, even trash, you have more chances to achieve better results — at least that’s how it worked for me. By the way, watch how top players play on YouTube; they also enter pots with trash hands. You just need to understand when to do it.

Some people just don’t get that poker only works because of mutual respect. Angle-shooting, trash talk, slow-rolling, acting out of turn it all screams insecurity and bad etiquette. You don’t have to like your opponents, but respecting the game and the people at the table is basic.

I've seen this alot lately and it's really disgusting, it's crazy that there are still players that can handle losing or bad beat in general. Whenever things don't go their way, they start insulting and causing all sort of trouble. Really embarassing

I agree with you. Letting an opponent’s ego affect your decisions is exactly what they want. In my experience, players who show a lot of disrespect or play randomly are often trying to provoke mistakes. The best response is to stay patient, stick to solid strategy, and let them make the errors.

Online it’s easier to ignore the noise, but even in live poker I think the key is the same: focus on your own game, not on their behavior. Over time, that kind of arrogance usually costs them chips.

As much as I can feed off the emotional fuel that hatred and revenge can give you in contact sports. I find that less emotion is always better in online poker. Live poker is a different beast, full of social nuance.

That's part of a strategy also my friend? Irritated players makes bad decisions , is not personal, just keep calm and play you're game.

You can't control how other people play or talk, but you can control how you react to it and staying calm means that you can continue to look for ways to take advantage of the situation. Once you go on tilt because of what someone else does, you've let them take control of the situation and in some cases they were acting that way specifically to tilt you (think of Will Kassouf).

I think on the contrary, in a real casino it would be very easy to deal with such people. A few knocked-out teeth and everything falls into place.
