That bet are very hard...because women`s tennis is very even..

if the williams sister not played. jaja
In women's tennis there are a lot of surprises, and I would not bet my last money for a match involving any players. But from time to time a few dollars to make it more interesting to watch ... Why not?

Does any of you poker players bet on sports? I am a full time sports bettor but getting into poker as hobby since its fun. But I don't think i could ever become a full time poker player sitting on the table 8 hours a day. Wouldn't that be stressful? I mean even if you have an office job, you don't need to focus all the time. With sports betting I spend only few hours a day and now a days even less.

Poker however has something that still pulls you in. Its challenging and interesting and even though i started as a hobby i am tempted to play more. But when i play bigger games, i do well only during the first hour and then i get too lose by losing patience.

I feel the same way, I hate playing online tournaments for long hours. Only if their million dollar tournaments. But in sports betting it takes a few minutes or less to make your picks and a person can make as much money as you do in poker.

I generally bet on both teams to score and one of the teams to win in football matches.

I usually go for the top teams against the very small teams away from home, the odds on very small stakes are surprisingly high once you have 3 or 4 teams in the mix. :)

Sports betting and poker are completely different things, sports betting depends on you almost nothing, and poker is a game, and it depends on your skill

I won't play sports betting because I don't want to take the time to study the game. It is very similar poker do your homework and you should succeed.

I think you would do better to stick to cash games then. That way you can play as much or little as you want. In a tournament you need patience.

I don't do any real sports betting, if I did it would be on a boxing match or something like that, perhaps football or golf. I want to get into that when I see a game or something going on on TV.

I am in the poker because I enjoy that, so thats different the only game I will try to gamble on to be a pro.

Most of the time i play poker but i do bet on football a small amount (gift money) occasionally. Though i know sports betting requires lot of studies about the team, its players and history of recent wins and other odds just like poker but i don't go through all that. And i never won any bet.
I bet on negative side on a team whose chances of losing are more. I believe odds of winning don't work all the time just like we see in poker and other games. And i am waiting for that thing to happen.

Sports Betting/Poker

I like both, have net unit/session wins at both, but lose at both because of the same problem- bankroll management.

To me, poker is definitely more labor intensive. Not only do you spend so much time at the table, but you can read all the books you want and watch all the videos you can, then playing trends change and you're re-learning all over again.

One thing I have really noticed: if you are a good poker player wanting to enter the sportsbook as a newbie, you will not get slain nearly as badly as the good sports bettor who wants to try their hand at a poker table.

In fact bankroll management is very difficult to practice. That's why I mix freeroll tournaments to my daily grid. This makes me slightly balance the thing, because it relieves a little the anxiety of playing and playing by paying the buy in.

If you want to watch a really good 4 hour mini-series on sports betting, you should check out the new show called Action on the Showtime network. Super entertaining and informative with a no bull look into the lives of professional and recreational sports bettors. :)

No fault to you firstly. But you sound like your a loose player and I would be licking my lips to have you at my table.

CHANGE YOU GAME AND YOU'LL BE A FREQUENT CASHER IN TOURNAMENTS. For God's sakes keep your raising and calling range tighter. Be aggressive in selected spots with big pocket pairs pre flop and only on flops where you make a big connection with the flop or there is a good bluffing opportunity.

NOW GO GET EM KID

I already bet on sports but in a small amount, I think you need time to analyze the games. Poker really requires you to focus for a long period of time to maintain your A game.

I have made sports betting several times. But for some reason I'm not interested. In poker, I am fascinated by the process of the game itself, and not just the possible profit.

poker is something you have "some" control over like your call/fold and how much you bet .. difference i find with sports is that once the games on its all in the players' hands. So i'd rather keep as much control but i see the appeal for both.

oh, this is a difficult topic, and in sports betting and in poker, one quality is necessary: not to tilt, to be cold-blooded, etc., not to succumb to emotions, this all combines these 2 different types of excitement
