Finding people with the same passion for this game, different perspectives, opinions, poker strategies, but right now I need to focus my mind on something to distract it, that's why I returned to poker. I'm coming back from an emotional setback. I remember when my father said that you could have at most one friend, and he wasn't wrong. I lost friends I thought were real, but they weren't; the friend was me. Not to mention other attempts with women who turned out to be unfaithful. I'll have to start over, and in the meantime, stay focused on poker, which for now has helped me distract myself from it and overcome it. Thanks, Cardschat.

I understood the loose aggressive style! I still can't play it since I think it's stu..., but now I am pretty good at fighting against those guys, cause I understand how these player think. I always were scared of playing them. now I understood they almost never have anything. that's so great to know! =)

Being on the forum has taught me a lot of important stuff, like how to control my ego, for example. I figured out through the forum that I'm not really cut out to be a serious poker player, and now I'm happy just playing from time to time, with no personal commitment to go pro.
The forum taught me how to recognize my own mistakes, and that's a huge step toward making a change. I've also made a few dear friends here—not many, but they're worth more than a lot of the friends I have in real life. Most of you are in canada. I won't name names, but if they're reading this, they'll know I'm talking about them.
The forum is a place for knowledge, learning, and personal connections. From where I'm standing, it's a great community of people who are genuinely interested in helping each other out, you know?
