Define "rich", I know some wealthy people who are impoverished souls. I also know some poor people who have lived very rich lives. As I have learned and improved my game, I have also grown as a person. Poker has taught me valuable lessons in money management, control over self, making decisions from intellect and not emotion. Hum, is hard to answer.I would say yes to this question with the insert that it would be no easy feat. Your poker skiltls would have to be remarkable enough for you to cash out of most tourneys that you play so that you will break levels very quickly. That or you muster the courage, make the buy-in and get lucky enough to win it all.

Poker is not for the faint of heart and it requires lots of skill and dedication. I must answer "yes" to this question otherwise I have no reason to play. My goal is to get to the wsop someday and win it all. No selling my action!

Point is, when you became rich for winning huge tournament or so, you need to control yourself and not to loose it.I know a guy - once very good poker player, who was earning a really good money on poker. And then - series of bad luck, then deconcentration, bad decisions, trying to make up for loses, more and more pressure... and he lost every cent he earned. He quit poker and started to work.

NLH MTT is the Cadillac of poker.

I think a solid player playing cash games can manage to pay the bills however to become rich from poker alone you are going to have to get it in on MTTs.

Not me because everytime I have Kings someone has Aces , when I have queens jacks any pair someone has better when i have aces someonme calls me with 56 spades and its a flush. When I have 9s someone calls me with any Ace and hits their ace not once every 6 but every time. I had AKc against 5s and 4s, 5 on the flop. I have had Aces on 13 occassions and lost with them on 11. Yet I was playing against a guy in a $7.50 bounty hunter he had AQ 5 times in 30 hands and hit A or Q on every single hand. I wasnt scared to go on any decent hand when I started now I am scared to go on any oh yes had 9 10 suited mid position flop comes A 9 2 turn 9 river 10 someones got A 9 , Another im in big blind with 8 2 suited everyone limps so i check flop comes 2 8 2 woohoo no no somones got pocket 8s thats yesterday and theres loads more from yesterday. I dont play badly I just get bad luck. youve got guy with AK comes to river and ok i have KQ the flop is low ive Cbet all through and put a 70% pot bet in at end they still call not occasionally all the time. Its like they can see your cards. Or I get pocket Aces in BB and everyone folds that happens a lot. But someone gets Aces and I will have Jacks or Queens or Kings. and they hit Ace on the flop if its me i get aces they get kings and they hit a king on the flop. Just cannot win.
