Is Your Family For or Against Poker?

All of my family members are shareholders in all of my businesses. Everyone gets royalty pro rata with the contributed funds. Poker Project is not an exception untill it is profitable. But it is.:deal:
However, I understand people who find pocker difficult to support and approve. Moreover, making any amount deposit to poker rooms is not allowed in my country from my regular $ bank account.

Actually, my father and my brother are the ones who taught me how to play poker. Our mother isn't really happy about this but there's nothing she can do.

nobody likes losers everyone loves winners, gambling when it grows into a disease it's dangerous controlled gambling from fun is okay, if you miss something in life because of gambling it's a disease for me and it's dangerous

Poker has rather bad general reputation in my country. Many people consider it as pure gambling. My family do not play poker but as they see that i do not loose money on it and balance it well with my other hobbies and duties they are ok that i play.

There is definitely a stigma attached to any type of gambling . . . My family knows that we enjoy gambling, but I do not share this interest with friends or business associates . . .

Slowly coming around

The wife was not to happy when poker just came out of the blue. Together for 16 years and I never played a hand. She thought it was strange that I wanted to put $50 down on my birthday but allowed it. After a couple months of me doing it she was not liking it for two reasons. First she thought I would just lose money and second she hated hearing me mutter and swear when I got a bad beat. Since I stopped putting money down and cash outs get bigger and more frequently she has come around and will at least listen to my poker stories with a little more interest.

When the family is idyllic - then everything is fine in the game!I think you need to understand the preferences of your spouse.The family is one single whole and the interests must coincide.I am fully supported by my wife and I am happy and very much respect her for this.I wish you the same situation in the family!

My family dont mind as they have come to realise there is a very real element of skill involved. If it was straight up no skill thrill gambling they would feel very bad about it.

My family doesn't really care one way or another if I play poker. I stay within my means and bankroll, so there's little to no risk from a money standpoint. I enjoy it, it's fun to do, so it's seen as a positive if anything.

They don't mind as long as it doesn't become a gambling addiction, but as we know poker is a game of skill so they understand that too.

parents were gambling addicts too, but different games. Unlike them i am up by a lot whereas they have built up a sizeable debt,

Some complaints about time spent on poker but in general no big deal. I try to keep a good balance.
