I'll take the "Harrington Cash" book with me! I still haven't read it. The strategy would be to study carefully by reading the book several times.

I would have with me several of Dara O'Kearney's book on satellite and mystery bounty strategy and play a full table of hands face up. I'd keep track of betting and what I would do in each of those seats to see if I can range myself and then note why I bet what I did. One strategy to juice up your bankroll quicker is to satellite into bigger events, and/or qualify for day 2 of mystery bounty tournaments, so if I can work on my game like this, using his resources, I hope to improve my play in both formats when I return home.

I would either take "The Theory of Poker" by David Sklansky or "Every Hand Revealed" by Gus Hansen.

I assume that among the personal items I could bring to be a pencil and a some paper at least. I would study one chapter each day, keeping note of the most important points I read, and when finishing the chapter I would come back and re-study these points.

I had a similar situation in my life when I went to the hospital . There is no mobile Internet and so I took a deck of cards . Unfortunately, no one in my room played or knew how to play poker .And I taught my opponents how to play poker and showed me what combinations, but that's a completely different story. And to be honest, I don't like reading books.

First of all, I take care of food and partial amenities; in a hut, studying a poker book with a deck of cards is romantic, but not effective due to the lack of live practice and weather conditions. The best option is Robinson's rest.

I would bring "The Theory of Poker" by David Sklansky. My strategy would be to methodically read the book, practice different scenarios with the deck of cards. I'd simulate games and analyze decisions to reinforce learning, ensuring an understanding of fundamental poker principles.

You've decided you need to get rid of all distractions so that you really buckle down and study to practice and improve your poker skills. So, you have booked a weeks-long vacation on a deserted island to cut out the modern world and leave it behind. There are no modern conveniences at your destination, including no internet, so you decide to leave behind all electronics, cell phones, laptops, etc. You must also pack light, and are allowed only a minimal amount of personal items, a deck of cards, and one book.

Which poker strategy book will you bring, and what is your strategy for studying and learning with such limited resources?

Take the week relax decompress do yoga- eat fish- sleep well ---learn to be present in the moment- allow any stress to flow away from you take life as it comes---then come home and study poker with all the online tools as one day of doing that would be worth a week of anything you could do under those parameters:geek::love:

A week away on a deserted island with palm trees and beach sounds like a great place to relax and have a vacation- so forget about everything else lol... but back on-topic, I'd take Jonathan Little's Excelling at No-Limit Hold'em- Jonathan Little brings together a talented group of individuals for what is IMO an outstanding poker book that covers pretty much everything... I'd use the deck of cards to relax and see the equity of some interesting hands the 'old way' by counting the outs manually :)

I would probably take a book that teaches me how to throw cards to use them as throwing weapons hahaha.
That way I could hunt and survive, maybe.

I haven’t read any poker book to completion yet so I will start with something which I still believe is relevant “the system” by Doyle Brunson

I will definitely take book "Super System" by Doyle Brunson which is one of the must read books for poker. I haven't finished it as well as all other books which I started because of modern world distractions and bad discipline :) But on the island where no internet its definitely worth to read . As a strategy I will try to learn all starting hands for each position, poker odds and all other data which will help to make right decisions. And may be to understand it better I would read the book twice
