Live games have a more social atmosphere compared to online games. I noticed that some players are very talkative and others are silent all the time. Do you think conversations reveal too much information, or can they be used as a strategy to confuse opponents? I'm somewhere in the middle, but I'm wondering what most people are doing here.

I think that talking during an online game is unnecessary. For me, I don't see the need to communicate with my opponents, although in general, if other players want to communicate, I don't mind.

i think on poker stars you can still chat, at least on the free play chips side you can, im in ky so it wont let me play the real cash games on stars, hardly any site will actually.

It's impossible not to talk, otherwise it seems eternal, you can also get information from your opponent or discuss some hands to see how he thinks

I prefer to stay quiet. I'm a medium player so I'd rather focus on the game. I play live and what I've noticed, the other players just want my money. So I prefer to focus on the game. Nobody is there to make friends.

I usually play 6 tables, so it would be pretty hard to manage chatting. However I try to follow is anyone says anything, just in case it gaves any info. Also, if the comment is addressed to me, I try to answet if I have time (if it is not just a silly insult)
