A bit of both, during live games I like to chat. But more like short reactions. Unless there is a really new player at the table, I don't mind helping them out.

Online it can be fun, especially during freerolls. But a lot of people are salty, I just mute the table if that happens.

Stay silent, if you talk to much the other players can read you.

I am completely silent, analyzing the game to make good plays. And I often leave it without sound so as not to deconcentrate

Live - I'm sociable and will respond to certain chat but never regularly to the same player (its a tried and trusted theory/method and it does depend on what the topic is. Anything poker related gets a stonewall from me.
Online for real money - silent but love a chat in league.

I think that there is no problem as long as players who are not in action in the game do not speak up and persuade the decisions of players who are in action

I play in silence, and conversations only distract me if there's a cool moment in the game.

Most of the time, I prefer to play quietly rather than chatter too much and lose focus.
I usually keep my headphones on and off, so no one tries to talk to me, but I can still pay attention to the conversations.
Sometimes, some tells come up in these conversations.
But sometimes I'm more agitated and end up enjoying the conversations...

I usually talk a little with my opponents, we all pretty much know each other, and those we don't know, we chat a bit and soon we become familiar opponents. During a hand that I'm playing, I hardly ever talk, so as not to give away information. Unless we're on the river and I need information about their hand in order to call.

Im always social - years of experience playing has taught me to recognise when someone is angle shooting/fishing for poker related info but aside from that - you can meet really interesting people and even online -characters can be awesome.

Live games have a more social atmosphere compared to online games. I noticed that some players are very talkative and others are silent all the time. Do you think conversations reveal too much information, or can they be used as a strategy to confuse opponents? I'm somewhere in the middle, but I'm wondering what most people are doing here.
i am very talkative, i like communication. conversation reveals lots of things. If there is a possibility to be heard, I'd use it

Chat with mates on Cardschat otherwise I'm silent. Your chat can give away information.

I like to stay quiet at the tables and concentrate on my game; I've noticed that, especially in freerolls, people like to interact.
