Which countries play the most online poker?

I’m Brazilian, and poker is very popular here. I’m not sure if it’s the most popular country for poker, but it’s definitely very popular and growing a lot.

Other big countries from South America and Eastern Europe are next in my oppinion

I'm playing for Hungary! Based on the law of large numbers, I would guess China for a simple reason. There are a lot of them 😂😂

I am from Norway and poker is «restricted» here so online AND cash games are harder to play. But since cash games have restrictions i think more and more play online

In practice, the four (five) main ones are... Russia, USA, Canada, Brazil, China.


The UK and Austria show significant growth, especially in the WPN rooms where, strangely, players from Asian countries are scarce, some from Thailand, some from China and Hong Kong, but they are very few compared to GG Poker, players from Vietnam, the Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, etc are almost completely absent.

I've noticed a significant increase in the number of players from Latin America in recent years, especially Brazilians.

In recent years, the number of Brazilian poker players on online sites has grown impressively. Even adding together all the players from South and Central American countries, including Mexico, the total would not reach the number of Brazilian players.

Well I think in cinema but I see a lot of Ukrainian and Brazilian on the pages but I think the Turks are in the lead

I'm from Argentina, I noticed a lot of Brazilian players, both online and live.
I think most poker players are from the US, Europe and Brazil, in that order.

From what I’ve seen, the biggest online poker traffic usually comes from a mix of regions rather than one single country. Countries like Brazil, Russia, the UK, and parts of Eastern Europe seem very active, especially in online MTTs and cash games. The US also has a lot of players, but it’s more fragmented because of state regulations and different poker networks.

Latin America is growing fast too, so it’s not surprising to see players from Chile here. Time zones, local regulations, and buy-in preferences also make a big difference in where and when games run the best. It’s always interesting to see how international the online poker community really is.

I don't know which teams play the most. But here in Brazil, the number of players has grown a lot in recent years. So Brazil must be among the countries that play the most.

From my experience, I feel that the country I’ve seen the most players from is Brazil. In the past, I remember seeing a lot of players from Russia, but not so much anymore.

I am 100% sure that China has the most live and online players.
Because they hold 25% ofthe worlds population , it just makes sense

I'm from Moldova, but I mostly meet players from Brazil and Romania, I think they make up more than half the field.
