Invest in a poker database cheapskate. :) Hehe... but seriously, it will make life so much easier, plus you have the added benefit of being able to review and analyze your play. Not better way to improve in poker honestly.
Thanks for your input. Will look into the things you suggested.

no tracking with small stakes...

I stay at lower stakes on purpose, so I don't have to worry about the wins/losses. If I get ITM, it usually isn't for much more than a little cash money micro stakes. The stress of taking something so seriously is akin to working. And if poker is a job, it isn't much fun.

Hello! Yes, a good idea, I somehow did not think about it before, I also want to try, send me an empty copy, if it doesn’t make it difficult for the post office: [email protected]
thanks!

I'm sorry I was that late, but it's sent.

ABSOLUTELY!!

I have kept a record of every tournament i have played where money is involved. Since I play live as well, the poker HUDs don't help me, so i needed to create a spreadsheet of what i thought was most valuable. As time has moved on, i have added new types of info to the sheet. I have found that the human memory is very flawed, and if i don't capture the data immediately after a session, it all starts to blur together and i can start to have selective memory. I absolutely want to improve my game, and i feel that this is an objective way to look at what is happening and look for those things that i need to know to help my game.

I track: dates, buyins, qty players, round length, starting stack, tourney finish, $ won, key hands during the turney, bust out info, and then i recently starting scoring myself on 10-12 things that I want to personally measure about my game.

This has really helped me understand things that i cannot see without the data. I highly recommend this to everyone that is serious about improving their game.

No, I don't. I just play for fun and take the wins and losses whenever they occur.

I play just for fun, I do not try to get consistent earnings yet, but I believe that for you to make money you need this control, either through specific programs or spreadsheets.

I keep a spreadsheet that focuses on the total buy-ins versus profit for the day and a running total just to keep myself in line with my bankroll management. It makes it easier and less stressful to know that I'm keeping at least 1:100 BRM because its all laid out for me.

That idea may work for many, well.. for me I think it will keep me sad, as my winnings are really nothing compared to my deposits/loses ! :)
